FLC OF CPR JET CLBS ABOVE ASSIGNED AND PUBLISHED ALT ON DEP.

Narrative

A QUALIFIED FO WAS IN THE L SEAT FOR THE FLT TO LWD. WE PICKED UP THE CLRNC FOR THE 1 HR FLT. UPON RECEIVING THE CLRNC WE BRIEFED THE DEP AND THE NOISE PROFILE FOR RWY 24. AS WE TAXIED OUT WE WERE GIVEN A RE-RTE FOR WX. WE REBRIEFED THE CLRNC AND THE NOISE PROFILE FOR A MINIMUM EPR PWR TKOF FOR RWY 24 TO TEB .6 DME AND ALSO THE SID -- RWY HEADING TO 1500 FT TURN TO 280 DEGS; MAINTAIN 1500 FT UNTIL PASSING TEB 4.5 DME CLB TO 3000 FT. AFTER TKOF WE REDUCED PWR. I CALLED OUT 500 FT FOR 1500 FT AND THEN COMING UP ON 1500 FT HDG 280 DEGS. AT THAT TIME TWR SWITCHED US OVER TO DEP. I LOOKED DOWN TO SWITCH THE RADIO. AS I LOOKED UP AND CALLED DEP I NOTICED WE WERE APCHING 2000 FT. I TOLD DEP WE WERE 2000 FT. HE SAID YOU SHOULD BE AT 1500 FT DSND TO 1500 FT AND THEN HE SAID TO MAINTAIN 2000 FT. DEP CTL AND I DISCUSSED THE SID AS WE WERE CLRED TO 3000 FT THEN HANDED OFF TO ANOTHER SECTOR. THE SIT OCCURRED DUE TO A HIGH PERFORMANCE ACFT WITH A LIGHT LOAD COUPLED WITH A HIGH PERFORMANCE TKOF FOR NOISE AND LOW INITIAL ALT. TO PREVENT A RECURRENCE THE CAPT SHOULD MONITOR THE COMPLETE LEVELOFF BEFORE SWITCHING RADIOS.
