A PVT PLT RPT ON THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM ON THE PART OF AGRICULTURAL OPERATORS AT K61 ARPT; KS.
I WAS INBOUND FOR LNDG AT MORITZ MEMORIAL ARPT (K61) AT BELOIT; KS. I ANNOUNCED MY INTENTIONS ON CTAF ABOUT 10 MI SE. ABOUT 5 MI SE; I ANNOUNCED THAT I WOULD BE ENTERING A L DOWNWIND FOR RWY 17. I CALLED OUT ENTERING L DOWNWIND; L BASE; AND TURNING FINAL FOR RWY 17 ON THE CTAF. WHILE TURNING FINAL; I OBSERVED AN AGRICULTURAL SPRAY PLANE APCHING FROM THE NW; PASSING BEHIND ME. I ANNOUNCED ON CTAF THAT I HAD THE OTHER TFC IN SIGHT AND THAT I WAS ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 17. AS I CONTINUED MY APCH; I NOTICED THE SPRAY PLANE BEHIND ME AND TO MY L TURNING FINAL FOR THE TURF RWY 22 WHICH INTERSECTED RWY 17 ABOUT MIDWAY. TO AVOID A COLLISION; I APPLIED FULL PWR; AND ANNOUNCED THAT I WAS GOING AROUND. THE SPRAY PLANE LANDED ON RWY 22; AND TAXIED TO HIS HANGAR. AT NO TIME WAS ANY RADIO XMISSION HEARD FROM THE SPRAY PLANE. I KNOW MY RADIO WAS WORKING BECAUSE I COMMUNICATED WITH 2 OTHER ACFT WHO WERE DEPARTING THE ARPT; AND THE UNICOM OPERATOR CAME ON AND APOLOGIZED FOR THE INCONSIDERATE ACTION OF THE AGRICULTURAL OPERATOR. AFTER LNDG; THE FBO OPERATOR SAID THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE WHERE THE AGRICULTURAL OPERATORS HAD CUT OFF OTHER TFC. THE AGRICULTURAL OPERATOR WAS NOT USING A STANDARD TFC PATTERN AND ENTERED THE PATTERN MUCH LOWER THAN STANDARD PATTERN ALT. HE ALSO WAS NOT USING A RADIO. I HAVE SEEN OTHER AGRICULTURAL SPRAY PLANE OPERATORS AT OTHER ARPTS OPERATING IN MUCH THE SAME MANNER. I THINK THEY SHOULD BE USING STANDARD TFC PATTERN PROCS.
