Narrative

ACR FLC 123 AMS TO IAD. GIVEN RERTE ACROSS ATLANTIC TO YDP VERSUS PORGY. NEW RELEASE INDICATED ONE RTE VERSUS ANOTHER. NEW RTE INSERTED IN CDU. CLRNC GIVEN TO MT AND CONFIRMED MT DIRECT AFTER YDP. APCHING MT; MONTREAL QUESTIONED POS; EXPECTING ACFT AT MOFAT (20 NM AWAY). RELAYED CLRNC TO MT. MONTREAL SAYS; 'NO PROB;' BUT WOULD CONTACT GANDER. GANDER SAYS; 'CLRED YDP TO MOFAT.' NO FURTHER COMMENT. FLT CONTINUED UNEVENTFULLY; NO PROBS. DISPATCH NOTIFIED. THE PROB IS WE READ BACK 'MT' BUT GANDER DID NOT CONFIRM 'MT;' ONLY READ INITIAL CLRNC WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS 'MT.' SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR FULL CLRNC READBACK AND GANDER SHOULD HAVE GIVEN FULL CLRNC AND PROB WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED SINCE RTE #N306C GOES ONLY TO MOFAT VERSUS RTE #N352C TO MT. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO THIS PROB INCLUDED THE QUALITY OF XMISSION; LANGUAGE DIFFERENCES; QUALITY OF RECEPTION; HEARING; READBACK; AND VERIFICATION. CLRNCS AFTER RERTES OR ANY TIME SHOULD INCLUDE FULL RTE DISCLOSURE AND READBACK WITH VERIFICATION BY CTLR. RERTES; UNLIKE NORMAL FLT PLANS; SHOULD INCLUDE MORE DETAIL FOR ALL INVOLVES. ALL PARTIES SHOULD BE PROACTIVE IN OBTAINING DETAILS FOR NEW CLRNCS.
