A WDB 3-ENG TRANSPORT ON TKOF ROLL EXCEEDED EXHAUST GAS TEMP LIMITS ON #2 AND #3 ENGS. MAINT ADVISED TEMPS RECORDED NOT OUT OF MAINT MANUAL LIMITS.

Narrative

JUST PRIOR TO ROTATION ON TKOF; NOTICED #2 ENG EGT EXCEEDING REDLINE. REDUCED THRUST ON THAT ENG. AFTER ROTATION; NOTICED #3 ENG EGT EXCEEDING REDLINE. REDUCED THRUST ON THAT ENG. ON CLBOUT; VIEWED SNAPSHOT ON ELECTRONIC ENG INDICATING SYS (EIDS) AND NOTED EXCEEDENCES AND DURATION. ADVISED DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL OF READINGS AND WERE ADVISED THAT NO CRITICAL EXCEEDENCES OCCURRED; AND THAT WE WERE OK TO CONTINUE TO SEA. RECORDED EXCEEDENCES AND DURATION IN ACFT MAINT LOGBOOK. OUR COMPANY SOP IS FOR THE PF TO SET TKOF THRUST BY 80 KTS AND FOR THE PNF; TO VERIFY THAT THE CORRECT THRUST IS SET BY 80 KTS. I WAS FLYING; AND AFTER I INITIALLY SET TKOF THRUST; I TOOK MY HAND TEMPORARILY OFF THE THROTTLES; AND THE FO READJUSTED THE PWR TO A MORE EXACT SETTING. PRIOR TO ROTATION; I GLANCED DOWN AT THE PWR SETTINGS AND CALLED OUT THE OVERTEMP. THE FO FELT THAT HE HAD ACCURATELY ADJUSTED THE PWR; AND THAT THE EPR'S BLOOMED TO A SLIGHTLY HIGHER SETTING AFTERWARDS. MY ATTN WAS FOCUSED MORE OUTSIDE THE ACFT; AS WE HAD A XWIND ON TKOF. THE FO ALSO COMMENTED THAT HE FELT THAT THE NEW EIDS IS HARDER TO READ; AS THE SCALES SEEM SMALLER.
