A B747-200 DUMPS FUEL AND RETURNS TO MSP AFTER HAVING RECEIVED ONGOING INDICATIONS OF LOW EPR; HIGH EGT AND NACELLE TEMPS WITH HIGH STAGE OPEN LIGHT ON; NEAR ONL; NE.
ON TKOF OUT OF MSP; #2 ENG SLOW TO ACCELERATE. REACHED NORMAL TKOF EPR PRIOR TO V1; BUT EGT HIGHER THAN NORMAL IN YELLOW CAUTION AREA. ON CLBOUT; REDUCED THRUST ON #2 ENG TO OUT OF CAUTION RANGE. WHILE CLBING; #2 ENG HIGH STAGE LIGHT CAME ON AND #2 ENG NACELLE TEMP INCREASED A LOT WITH CONSTANT SPD DRIVE TEMP RISE. WE CLOSED RESPECTIVE #2 BLEED VALVE AND ENG NACELLE TEMP BEGAN TO DECREASE BACK TO NORMAL TEMP RANGE. WE PERFORMED COMPANY RELATED EMER PROCS IN COMPANY OPS MANUAL. WE THEN ADVISED COMPANY ON BOTH ACARS AND RADIO (MAINT AND DISPATCH) OF PROB. DECIDED TO RETURN TO MSP/ST PAUL INTL. WE REQUESTED TO DUMP FUEL WITH MSP ATC AND DECLARED EMER TO DUMP FUEL; APPROVED BY ATC. DUMPED 70000 LBS. WE RETURNED MSP AFTER DUMPING. ENG #2 SEPARATING NORMAL; DID NOT SECURE. HAD EMER EQUIP STANDING BY. LANDED WITH ALL ENGS OPERATING. TAXIED CLR OF RWY AND TO GATE. LANDED NORMAL AND SIT NORMAL AFTER LNDG. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 466068: INFORMED DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL. AFTER SOME TIME; MAINT CTL ADVISED US TO RETURN TO ARPT BECAUSE OF SUSPECTED BLOWN DUCT AND ITS UNPREDICTABILITY (POSSIBLE FIRE WARNING). DUMPED FUEL AT CRUISE ALT (FL350 AND FL330) AFTER DECLARING EMER.
