B190 CREW HAD TRACK DEV IN D01 CLASS E AIRSPACE.

Narrative

MY FO AND I WERE ON A HDG TO JOIN THE DANDD 3 ARR INTO DEN. THE ARR IS BASED OFF OF THE MILE HIGH VOR (DVV 114.70). WE UNINTENTIONALLY HAD THE FALCON VOR FREQ (FQF 116.30) DIALED IN AND FLEW THROUGH THE CORRECT COURSE FOR THE ARR. WE DID NOT BECOME AWARE OF OUR ERROR UNTIL THE APCH CTLR QUERIED US ABOUT 7 MI AFTER WE HAD FLOWN THROUGH THE APCH (ARR) COURSE. HE THEN CLRED US TO PROCEED DIRECT TO THE MILE HIGH VOR AND NO FURTHER PROBS OCCURRED. HE ADVISED HS THAT IT WAS NOT A BIG DEAL DUE TO THE FACT THAT NO OTHER ACFT WERE IN THE VICINITY. FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THIS INCIDENT: FAILURE OF MYSELF TO DOUBLECHK THAT THE FO HAD DIALED IN THE CORRECT FREQ (I WAS FLYING AND HE WAS WORKING THE RADIOS). SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 468182: BEFORE DEPARTING HAYES; KS; I WROTE DOWN OUR FILED RTE OF FLT ON A PAD ON THE CLIPBOARD ON THE YOKE. WE WERE NOT GIVEN AN ARR RTE; INSTEAD WE WERE FILED DIRECT FALCON VOR 116.3 (FAF). AS WE APCHED DEN; ATC CLRED US FOR THE DANDD 3 ARR. SINCE THE FREQS FOR THE 'PLANNED' RTE WERE ALREADY SET UP ON THE RADIO PANEL; IT WENT UNNOTICED THAT THE DANDD 3 ARR WAS NOT TO THE FAF VOR; BUT RATHER TO THE MILE HIGH 114.7 DVV. (THE QUAIL 3 ARR RUNS PARALLEL TO THE DANDD 3 AND USES THE FALCON VOR.) ATC ASKED US IF WE WERE JOINING THE DANDD 3 ARR AND UPON INVESTIGATION; WE FOUND OUT THAT WE HAD THE WRONG VOR FREQ DIALED IN. ATC INFORMED US THAT WE WERE 7 MI PASSED THE ARR COURSE.
