B767 CREW BLEW A PAX STAND INTO AN ACFT AT ANOTHER GATE.
WE LANDED ON RWY 25L; TWR CLRED US ACROSS RWY 25R; GND CLRED US ON TXWY B TO C6 FOR OUR GATE. RAMP CLRED US INTO THE RAMP. I ADDED PWR ONCE WE ROUNDED THE CORNER FROM TXWY B TO C6; SO AS TO HAVE THE SPD TO MAKE THE INCLINE UP INTO THE ALLEY TO OUR GATE. AS OUR GATE CAME INTO VIEW; WE SAW THAT WE HAD NO GUIDEMAN. I STARTED APPLYING BRAKES AND MY FO CALLED RAMP AND ASKED FOR A GUIDEMAN AT GATE. WE CAME TO A STOP ON THE CTRLINE ABOUT 15 FT PAST THE LEAD-IN LINE FOR THE GATE. WE ONLY HAD TO WAIT A MINUTE OR SO BEFORE A GUIDEMAN APPEARED AND STARTED WAVING US IN. I RELEASED THE BRAKES AND ADDED A LITTLE PWR TO THE R ENG. WE BEGAN MOVING AHEAD SO I STARTED MY TURN INTO THE GATE. AS WE STARTED THE TURN I PULLED THE PWR BACK TO IDLE. NEITHER I OR MY FO FELT THAT I HAD HAD TO ADD MUCH PWR (WE WERE LIGHT -- 283000 LBS). BUT APPARENTLY WE BLEW AN AIRSTAIR INTO A B737 ON THE ADJOINING GATES AND IT PUNCTURED THE SKIN. MAINT CAME OVER TO TALK TO US AND SAID THAT THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME TODAY THAT THIS HAPPENED AT THIS GATE. THIS PROB COULD BE RESOLVED BY MAKING THIS A TOW IN GATE OR AT THE LEAST MAKE IT A TOW IN GATE IF AN ACFT HAS TO COME TO A FULL STOP IN THE ALLEY; FOR ANY REASON. HAD OUR GUIDEMAN BEEN IN PLACE WE WOULD HAVE TAXIED IN WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD PWR AT ALL.
