CABIN ATTENDANT RPT; B757; ORD-SNA. DURING TURB; PAX REFUSED TO SIT AND FASTEN HIS SEAT BELT; LOCKED HIMSELF IN AFT LAVATORY. DEADHEADING CAPT GOT HIM OUT. SUPVR MET FLT.
I WAS WORKING UP FRONT IN FIRST CLASS. THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN THE REAR OF THE ACFT IN THE AFT GALLEY AREA. THE SEAT BELT SIGN WAS TURNED ON BECAUSE OF SOME CHOPPY TURB. THE AFT #2 FLT ATTENDANT TOLD A GENTLEMAN THAT HE NEEDED TO TAKE HIS SEAT AND FASTEN HIS SEAT BELT. HE REFUSED AND SAID HE WAS NOT GOING TO SIT DOWN AND PROCEEDED TO LOCK HIMSELF IN REAR LAVATORY. THE FLT ATTENDANT INVOLVED CAME UP FRONT AND EXPLAINED SIT TO COCKPIT. A DEADHEADING CAPT RIDING JUMP SEAT WENT BACK TO CONFRONT THE PAX AND OPENED THE LAVATORY DOOR FROM OUTSIDE TO SPEAK WITH HIM. SUPVRS MET FLT AND I OVERHEARD HIM TELLING SUPVR THAT THE FLT ATTENDANTS NEVER TOLD HIM HE NEEDED TO SIT DOWN WHEN THE INCIDENT FIRST OCCURRED. HE WAS VERY ARGUMENTATIVE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID THAT WHEN THE DEADHEADING CAPT OPENED THE LAVATORY DOOR; THE MAN WAS SITTING ON TOP OF THE TOILET SEAT READING. THE CAPT ORDERED HIM TO HIS SEAT AND HE KEPT STANDING THERE UNTIL THE MAN SAT DOWN. THE FLT ATTENDANT INVOLVED WITH THE INCIDENT SPENT 1 HR AFTERWARDS DISCUSSING THE INCIDENT WITH THE SVC SUPVRS.
