A GULFSTREAM II ON FINAL APCH AT 1500 FT DECLARED AN EMER DUE TO AN UNSAFE WARNING ON THE L MAIN GEAR CAUSED BY ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.
THE FLT WAS FROM FTW TO TEB ALONG RTE FTW.DALL5.TXK.J42.GVE.METRO4.TEB. THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL UNTIL WE WERE HANDED OFF TO ZNY AND WERE VECTORED FOR THE ILS 6 APCH TO TEB. WE COMPLETED THE NORMAL APCH CHKLIST. WHEN ESTABLISHED ON THE APCH (LOC CAPTURED/GS APPROX CAPTURED) AND APPROX 6 MI FROM TEB; WE SELECTED THE LNDG GEAR DOWN AND COMPLETED THE BEFORE LNDG CHKLIST; AND THEN NOTICED THAT WE ONLY HAD THE NOSE; AND R MAIN GEAR DOWN LIGHTS; AND NOT THE L MAIN GEAR LIGHT. WE THEN TESTED THE COCKPIT LIGHTS AND FOUND ALL GEAR LIGHTS TO BE GOOD. WE ELECTED TO CYCLE THE GEAR BACK UP AND DOWN AGAIN; WITH THE SAME RESULT (NO L MAIN GEAR DOWN LIGHT). WE WERE THEN HANDED OFF TO TEB TWR WHERE WE REQUESTED A LOW APCH ONLY; AND THAT THE TWR TAKE A VISUAL LOOK AT OUR L MAIN GEAR TO DETERMINE ITS STATUS. THE TWR SAID THE L MAIN GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN AND TOLD US TO CONTACT NEW YORK APCH AGAIN. THEREAFTER WE REQUESTED ANOTHER ILS 6 INTO TEB FROM NEW YORK APCH. WHEN NEW YORK APCH HANDED US BACK TO TEB TWR; WE REQUESTED THAT THE EQUIP BE STANDING BY AND WERE CLRED TO LAND. WE MADE A NORMAL UNEVENTFUL LNDG. THEREAFTER WE TAXIED TO THE FBO (YXVX ZWZ) TO DISEMBARK OUR PAX AND GET OUR LNDG GEAR LOOKED AT BY MAINT. (THEY FOUND A LOOSE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (CANNON PLUG). WE FOLLOWED ALL FARS AND COMPLIED WITH ALL MANUFACTURER'S (GULFSTREAM) PROCS. BECAUSE WE DID; IN FACT; DECLARE AN EMER; I FELT THAT I HAD BETTER SUBMIT THIS NASA RPT.
