CABIN ATTENDANT RPT; B757; LAX-DFW. MAN UP; TAXI; CONNECTING FLT; SENT BACK TO SEAT. DEPLANING; HE INJURED CABIN ATTENDANT; PAX; IN RUSH TO GET OFF; POLICE; DENIED BOARDING NEXT FLT.
I WAS FLT ATTENDANT #1 ON THIS FLT AND FIRST ENCOUNTERED PAX X; WHEN I FINISHED READING THE CONNECTING GATE INFO. HE CAME UP TO THE FRONT JUMP SEAT WHERE I WAS SITTING; WHILE READING THE GATE INFO. HE SEEMED VERY AGITATED; STOOD OVER ME AND SAID THAT 'THEY' IN LAX HAD TOLD HIM THAT HE WOULD MAKE HIS CONNECTION BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS DELAYED OUT OF DFW (WE WERE ABOUT 1 HR LATE). I TOLD HIM THAT ACCORDING TO MY INFO EVERYTHING WAS RUNNING ON SCHEDULE. HE SAID HE HAD REQUESTED ASSISTANCE IN DFW AND 'WHAT WAS I GOING TO DO ABOUT IT.' I ASKED HIM HIS NAME; BUT HE DID NOT GIVE IT TO ME. INSTEAD; HE SAID 'SOMEONE IS GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY' AND ASKED ME FOR MY NAME. I GAVE HIM MY NAME AND REITERATED THAT ACCORDING TO THE LATEST INFO; ALL FLTS WERE LEAVING ON TIME; BUT THAT I WAS SURE PEOPLE WOULD ASSIST HIM IN DFW. HE RETURNED TO HIS SEAT AT WHICH TIME WE WERE ABLE TO DETERMINE HIS NAME FROM THE PAX MANIFEST. WE COMPLETED OUR DUTIES TO PREPARE FOR LNDG. UPON LNDG AND GATE ARR; HE JUMPED OUT OF HIS SEAT WHEN THE SEAT BELT SIGN WENT OFF. I DID NOT SEE HIM PUSH HIS WAY THROUGH FIRST CLASS; BUT ACCORDING TO FLT ATTENDANT #2 HE CAUSED AN ELDERLY WOMAN TO FALL BACK INTO HER SEAT AND STEPPED ON FLT ATTENDANT #3'S FOOT. (FLT ATTENDANT #3 HAD TO GO TO MEDICAL TO BE TREATED FOR HER INJURED FOOT.) PAX X ENDED UP FROM ROW X IN COACH TO BEING THE SECOND PERSON IN LINE WAITING FOR THE ACFT DOOR TO OPEN. WHILE WE WAITED FOR THE AGENT TO POS THE JETBRIDGE; I SHOWED HIM ON THE PAX MANIFEST THAT THE AGENTS WERE AWARE OF HIS FLT CONNECTION AND WERE READY TO ASSIST. AS SOON AS THE DOOR OPENED; HE RAN OUT THE DOOR; NOT WAITING FOR THE AGENT OR PAX SVC REPRESENTATIVE TO HELP HIM. I KNEW HE WAS GOING FOR A COMMUTER PLANE FLT TO BATON ROUGE. I TOLD THE PAX SVC REPRESENTATIVE AGENT THAT HE SEEMED ANGRY AND AGITATED (I NEVER SUGGESTED THAT HE BE DENIED BOARDING.) FLT ATTENDANT #3 WENT TO MEDICAL AND WE WENT OVER TO OUR NEXT FLT (AUS). A POLICE OFFICER AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM FLT SVC CAME TO TALK TO US REGARDING THE 'AIR RAGE INCIDENT;' (THE POLICEMAN'S WORDS; NOT MINE). WE RELATED WHAT HAD HAPPENED; AND IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT HE WAS DENIED BOARDING BASED ON HIS BEHAVIOR AT THE COMMUTER AIRLINE'S GATE AND TICKET COUNTER; HAVING LEARNED THAT HE DID INDEED MISS HIS FLT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT THE ELDERLY LADY IS SUING THE ABUSIVE PAX AND THE AIRLINE FOR HER TRAUMA AND INJURY.
