A B767 CREW GRU-JFK HAD A MEDICAL EMER AND LANDED AT SBBR.

Narrative

ATC FACILITY: BRASILIA CTR. LOCATION: BRS 186 DEG RADIAL AT 20-40 DME. ENRTE; PAX EXPERIENCED SEVERE CHEST PAIN. DOCTOR SAID HE WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK. OXYGEN AND ELECTRONIC DEFIBRILLATOR WERE USED ON HIM AS WELL AS NITRO PILL. DOCTOR AND FLT ATTENDANT SAID HE REQUIRED IMMEDIATE ATTN. FO CONCURRED THAT HE NEEDED IMMEDIATE ATTN. WE CALLED BRASILIA CTR TO DECLARE A MEDICAL EMER FOR AN IMMEDIATE LNDG AT SBBR ARPT AND TO HAVE MEDICAL PERSONNEL STANDING BY. WE STARTED DUMPING FUEL -- 24000 LBS TO GET US AT A LNDG WT 336000 LBS. LNDG NORMAL EXCEPT AT ABOUT 100 KTS. USED HARD BRAKING ACTION BECAUSE THE RWY HAD A CREST TO IT; SO IT LOOKED LIKE WE WERE AT THE END OF RWY; WHEN IN FACT WE HAD ABOUT 3000-4000 FT OF RWY LEFT. AT GATE; DID NOT SET PARKING BRAKES; MADE SURE ACFT CHOCKED. I HAD THE RELIEF PLT LOOK AT THE BRAKES FOR HOT OR GLOWING BRAKES AND SMOKE -- NONE NOTICED. AT ABOUT 5-10 MINS ALTER; 1 OF 5 FUSE PLUGS WENT IN THE NEXT 20 MINS. MEDICAL PERSONNEL ENTERED ACFT; STABILIZED THE PAX; AND REMOVED HIM. INFLT; CALLED FLT SUPPORT XXX TO RELAY TO DISPATCH OUR SIT. UNABLE TO CALL DISPATCH ON YYY COM. ON GND; COULD NOT GET FLT SUPPORT XXX ON HF.
