WHILE ON A PARALLEL MONITOR ILS APCH INTO DTW; B757 COORDINATES FOR GAR DUE TO DISPLAYED WX ALONG APCH OR VICINITY OF ARPT.

Narrative

DURING PEAK OF XA00 PUSH; I WAS WORKING THE MONITOR W POS FOR SIMULTANEOUS APCHS TO OUR PARALLEL RWYS 22L AND 21L. B757 WAS 13 T0 15 MI FINAL; SAW SOMETHING ON HIS WX RADAR AND WANTED TO BE TAKEN BACK OUT. HE REQUESTED A L TURN -- UNABLE BECAUSE OF TFC ON PARALLEL ILS. HE WAS OFFERED A R TURNOUT WITHIN 8 MI. HE CONCURRED. IN THE MEANTIME; COORD HAD TO BE GRANTED BY 'Y' CTLR WHO HAD NUMEROUS APCHS INTO YIP; WHICH IS 8 MI W OF DTW. ALSO OBTAINED 2 PIREPS BY OTHER ACFT ON APCH IN FRONT OF ACFT XXX. BOTH RPTED SMOOTH RIDE; VERY LIGHT RAIN; AND ARPT INSIGHT AT 2-3 MI. WE 'SHARE' THE LCL CTL FREQ. HE HAD DEPS AND ARRS (SO WE TRY AND STAY OFF OF IT). SO JUST ABOUT THE TIME ALL MY COORD WAS DONE; ACFT XXX SAID HE'D DECLARE AN EMER TO GET HIS R TURN. I ISSUED ONE TO 270 DEGS. THE 'Y' CTLR EVEN TURNED ACFT XXX AROUND SO HE COULD SEE WX FROM OTHER SIDE! ALL OTHER ACFT LANDED. HE WAS ONLY ONE TO COME OUT. I OBTAINED PIREPS. BUT HE MUST HAVE HAD AN UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH STORMS BEFORE THIS. IF YOU WANT TO COME OUT; FINE; BUT REMEMBER IN SOME SITS IT MAY TAKE A MOMENT OR TWO BECAUSE OF OTHER ACFT IN AREA!
