CPR JET FLT CREW FAILED TO STOP AT RWY HOLD SHORT LINE AS INSTRUCTED BY THE LUK GND CTLR DUE TO LACK OF MARKINGS FOR HOLD SHORT ON TXWY C ON WHICH THEY WERE TAXIING.

Narrative

WE WERE CLRED FROM FBO TO RWY 21L VIA TXWY'S C AND A. INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT OF 21R. WE MISSED THE INSTRUCTION; 'HOLD SHORT OF 21R AT TXWY C.' THE COMMERCIAL ARPT DIAGRAM CHART DOES NOT SHOW THE RWY CROSSING TXWY C. RWY 21R ENDS N OF TXWY C. THEREFORE WE ASSUMED THE HOLD SHORT REFERENCE WAS ON TXWY A WHERE IT CROSSES 21R. OUR XING THE EXTENSION OF RWY 21R AT TXWY C DID NOT CREATE ANY HAZARD; BUT IT COULD HAVE. THE ARPT SHOULD PUT BETTER MARKINGS FOR THAT INTXN; AND THE COMMERCIAL CHART SHOULD SHOW THE RWY INTERSECTING WITH TXWY C. THE TWR ADVISED US THAT OTHER PROFESSIONAL CREWS HAVE MISSED THAT INTXN TOO. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT THE ACFT WAS A LEAR 45 OPERATED BY A CORPORATION UNDER PART 91 RULES. HE STATED THAT HE AND THE CAPT FLY IN TO THE LUK ARPT ON OCCASION; BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME FOR THE TAXI ROUTING GIVEN TO THEM THAT DAY FOR TAXI OUT. HE STATED THAT THEY HAD NO IDEA THAT THE TWR CTLR MEANT FOR THEM TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 21 EXTENSION ON TXWY C SINCE THE RWY WAS NOT SHOWN TO INTERSECT THAT TXWY AS IT DID ON TXWY A. THEREFORE; THEY WERE SURPRISED WHEN THE CTLR ADVISED THEM OF PASSING THEIR HOLD SHORT POINT. THEY DO NOT REMEMBER NOTICING ANY HOLD SHORT MARKS; OR SIGNS FOR RWY 3L; WHICH IS THE INTXN ON TXWY C WHERE THEY HAD JUST PASSED. HOWEVER; THE OTHER END OF RWY 3L; WHICH IS 21R; WAS ONE OF THE ACTIVE RWYS. AFTER GIVING THOUGHT TO THEIR MISTAKE; THEY DID NOT REMEMBER THE EXACT WORDING OF THEIR CLRNC BY THE CTLR. HOWEVER; HE DID REMEMBER THE CTLR STATING THAT THEY WERE NOT THE FIRST ONES TO MAKE THIS MISTAKE.
