Synopsis

A F100 FLC EXPERIENCES A BLOWN TIRE ON TKOF AT BHM; AL; BUT PROCEEDS ON TO DEST AT DFW; TX.

Narrative

FLT FROM BHM TO ZZZ. AS FO LIFTED NOSE FOR ROTATION; A THUD SOUND WAS HEARD. IT SOUNDED AS IF IT HIT ONE OF THE CENTER LINE LIGHTS. A VERY NORMAL SOUND ON TKOF. AFTER CLEANUP FLT ATTENDANT REPORTED A LOUDER NOISE FROM THE BACK OF THE ACFT. GEAR WAS ALREADY RETRACTED AND ALL OTHER INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. DEP CALLED US TO REPORT A NOISE WAS HEARD AND RUBBER ON THE GND. COMPLETING THE ABNORMAL CHECKLIST; CONTINUED TO DFW TO MINIMIZE OUR WEIGHT AS MUCH AS PRACTICABLE. A FLYBY AT DFW CONFIRMED OUR RIGHT INBOARD MAIN TIRE HAD DAMAGE. CREW WAS BRIEFED; EMER WAS DECLARED AND LANDED AT DFW WITHOUT INCIDENT. CFR REPORTED NO OTHER POSSIBLE DAMAGE. PAX WERE TAKEN OFF THE ACFT AND BUSSED TO TERMINAL. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 522705: AFTER CLEANUP #2 FLT ATTENDANT REPORTED A 'LOUDER THAN USUAL BANG' AT LIFTOFF IN BACK OF AIRPLANE. DEPARTURE CALLED AND REPORTED SOMEONE ON GND HEARD A NOISE AND SAW WHAT APPEARED TO BE RUBBER ON THE RWY. BHM THEN CLOSED THE RWY. DISPATCH AND ATC WERE NOTIFIED. MADE A FLY BY AT DFW; THEY REPORTED RIGHT INBOARD MAIN APPEARED BALD. DEPLANED PAX WITH STAIRS.
