A300 FLT ATTENDANT HAD A BOARDING PAX THAT REFUSED TO SHOW A BOARDING PASS OR ANY RELEVANT PAPERWORK AT JFK ON AN INTERNATIONAL FLT.
I WAS THE DIRECTOR FLT ATTENDANT WHEN APPROX AT XA45 A 6 FT 2 INCH MALE; BLACK HAIR; AROUND 200-230 LBS; MEDIUM COLOR (SKIN); COULD BE HISPANIC OR OTHER NATIONALITY LIKE ARABIC (THAT TYPE LOOKING). WHEN HE APCHED THE ACFT DOOR; I ASKED HIM FOR A BOARDING PASS; WHICH HE TOTALLY IGNORED ME; IMMEDIATELY I STOP THE BOARDING; CALLED ANOTHER FLT ATTENDANT AND ASKED HER TO HOLD THE PAX AT THE DOOR WHILE I FOLLOWED THIS MAN; WHICH I KEPT TALKING TO HIM WITH NO ANSWER FROM HIM. FINALLY; HE WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE ACFT (THE LAST ROW SEAT) LOOK AROUND AND AGAIN I ASKED HIM FOR THE BOARDING PASS; AT THIS POINT HE SAID THAT HE HAD SHOWN IT UP FRONT; AND I APOLOGIZED TO HIM FOR THE INCONVENIENCE; BUT AGAIN I REASSURED HIM IT WAS COMPANY POLICY AND SECURITY PURPOSE; AT THIS POINT HE KEPT LOOKING AROUND; LIKE HE WAS DISORIENTED. I WAS A FEW FT AWAY FROM HIM WHEN HE SAID TO LEAVE HIM ALONE; HE JUST WANTED TO GET TO HIS DESTINATION AND IF I WAS STUPID; THAT HOW COULD HE HAD GONE THROUGH SECURITY AND THE BOARDING FLT ATTENDANT AT THE GATE WITHOUT A BOARDING PASS (HE SAID A TICKET). SO SINCE I SAW HE WAS GETTING AGGRESSIVE; I TURNED AROUND; WALKED AWAY TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE ACFT TO NOTIFY IMMEDIATELY THE NO 1 FLT ATTENDANT AND CALL SECURITY. BY THE WAY; WHEN HE WAS STANDING AFTER HE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THE TICKET; I ASK HIM WHAT WAS HIS SEAT # AND HE LOOKED DOWN AND THE FIRST SEAT # HE SAW; HE SAID IT. I MENTIONED THAT TO THE # 1 FLT ATTENDANT WHO ALSO AT THIS POINT REALIZED WE HAD TO CALL SECURITY IMMEDIATELY. ARPT POLICE CAME TO THE ACFT FROM THE SECURITY POINT. I WENT WITH THEM; TO IDENTIFY HIM. HE WAS ESCORTED OUTSIDE THE ACFT AFTER HE STARTED TO ARGUE WITH THE POLICE OFFICER. PERSONALLY THIS MAN SHOULD HAVE NOT GOTTEN THROUGH SECURITY. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS THE 'MEETER AND GREETER' AT THE ACFT DOOR. SHE WAS ALERTED WHEN THE PAX DID NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH HER AS HE BOARDED THE ACFT. THE FLT ATTENDANT IN THE GATE AREA SAID THE PAX CONGREGATED WITH A GROUP OF PAX AND WENT BY HER IN A GROUP. SINCE SHE WAS ALONE IN THE BOARDING AREA; SHE WAS UNABLE TO ENSURE EACH PAX HAD A BOARDING PASS THAT WENT THROUGH THE 'BOARDING CARD READER.' THE RPTR NOTIFIED THE PURSER AND THE CAPT OF THE INCIDENT. THIS WAS WHEN JFK PORT AUTHORITY POLICE WERE CALLED. THE RPTR INDICATED THE PAX WAS ARRESTED. HE HAD NO TICKET. THE RPTR AND THE PURSER SUBMITTED A DETAILED RPT TO THE COMPANY. TO DATE THE FLT ATTENDANT HAS HEARD NOTHING FROM THE COMPANY.
