AN INADVERTENT ENTRY INTO A TEMPORARY FLT RESTR AREA.
I WAS FLYING TO ZZZ; US; FROM ZZZ1; US; PART 91. I WAS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AND DECIDED ENRTE TO ALTER COURSE TO ZZZ3; US; TO BUY SOME FUEL (50-60 CENTS CHEAPER). I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A TFR AROUND THE CLOSED X POWER PLANT. I HAD NOT INITIALLY PLANNED ON STOPPING AT ZZZ3 ARPT SO I DIDN'T REVIEW AIRSPACE RESTR ALONG THAT FLT PLAN. I ALSO DID NOT SEE THE PLANT (FOG-LOW CLOUDS IN ITS VICINITY) WHICH HOPEFULLY WOULD HAVE ALERTED ME TO CHK ITS STATUS. I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS FSS BRIEFINGS ON TFR'S AND HAVE MARKED ALL PERTINENT ONES ON MY CHARTS. I MADE SEVERAL RADIO CALLS AS I APCHED THE ARPT INDICATING MY POS AND INTENTIONS. AS I ENTERED THE PATTERN THE UNICOM STATED THAT I HAD FLOWN THROUGH THE TFR PER PHONE CALL FROM TRACON. I INITIALLY THOUGHT THAT SINCE THE PLANT HAD BEEN CLOSED FOR SOME TIME THAT THERE WAS NO TFR. I REREAD THE NOTAMS WHEN I RETURNED HOME TO VERIFY IF IT HAD BEEN ADDED TO THE TFR LIST. I DID NOT FIND IT INITIALLY. I DID NOT REALIZE IT WAS ACROSS THE RIVER ON THE ZZZ2; STATE SIDE AND WAS LISTED UNDER THERE; INSTEAD OF XX; STATE. IN RETROSPECT; I NOW REALIZE A BROADER AREA OF AIRSPACE REVIEW IS NECESSARY ON LONGER XCOUNTRY FLTS WHEN FLYING CLOSE TO BORDERS AND OTHER POSSIBLE DEVS FROM THE PLANNED RTE OF FLT THAT MAY ARISE.
