Synopsis

DURING AFTER FLT SELF ANALYSIS A PVT PLT WORRIES THAT HE MAY NOT HAVE DONE THE CORRECT THING WHILE PRACTICING LNDGS WHEN THE TWR CTLR WAS USING 'OPTION' CLRNCS.

Narrative

INTENTION WAS TO PRACTICE TOUCH-AND-GOES AT ARPT. BEFORE DEP; ADVISED TWR I WOULD BE REMAINING IN PATTERN FOR TOUCH-AND-GOES. I WAS CLRED FOR THE OPTIONS AND CLRED FOR TKOF. DURING A FEW ROLLOUTS; PRIOR TO LIFTING OFF AGAIN; CTLR SAID I WAS CLRED TO LAND AND TO REMAIN IN R-HAND PATTERN AFTER DEP. ON THE NEXT LNDG; HE ONCE AGAIN SAID I WAS CLRED TO LAND AND RESUME R PATTERN. DURING THE ROLLOUT FOR MY FINAL TOUCH-AND-GO; HE SAID I WAS CLRED TO LAND 'AGAIN' AND TO MAKE MY NEXT LNDG FULL STOP; WHICH I DID. I ASSUMED HE WAS REQUESTING A FULL STOP; AS HE DIDN'T WANT TO CONTINUE WORKING ME INTO THE PATTERN'S TFC. NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID AFTER LNDG FULL STOP; THEN PARKING. LATER THAT DAY; I STARTED WORRYING THAT POSSIBLY THE CTLR WAS ACTUALLY SAYING 'YOU WEREN'T CLRED TO LAND; AGAIN.' I DID THINK IT WAS ODD HE WOULD SAY 'YOU 'WERE' CLRED TO LAND.' I ASSUME IF I HAD NOT ACTUALLY BEEN CLRED TO LAND; THEN DID SO 3 TIMES IN A ROW; THE CTLR WOULD HAVE ASKED ME TO CALL HIM AFTER I PARKED. I DO RECALL BEING 'CLRED TO LAND' WHILE IN THE AIR. IF INDEED HE WAS SAYING I HADN'T BEEN CLRED TO LAND; IT WOULD HAVE REGISTERED VERY CLRLY IN MY HEAD; HAD IT BEEN WORDED 'YOU WERE NOT CLRED...' AS OPPOSED TO 'YOU WEREN'T CLRED....' LIKE I STATED; I STILL DON'T KNOW FOR SURE WHAT HE WAS SAYING.
