GA PLT OBSERVED OVER FLYING P40; CHALLENGED AND INTERVIEWED BY FAA.
I WAS GIVING RIDES TO FRIENDS FROM ZZZ MOSTLY TO THE W; CLR OF AIRSPACE AT ZZZ1 ARPT. WX WAS STARTING TO GO MVFR W SO I STARTED MANEUVERING MORE N OF ZZZ THAN EXPECTED AT 7500 TO 8500 FT MSL. I WAS SQUAWKING 1200 WITH NO FLT FOLLOWING. I NOTED ON MY WAC AND GPS THAT I WAS NEARING P40; AND I BELIEVED THAT I COULD BE AT 7500 TO 8500 FT AND NOT BE IN THEIR AIRSPACE. I WAS FLYING AND CHKING THE MAP; I DID NOT SEE THE R4009 INFLT. I WAS APCHING ZZZ AND WAS ASKED TO 'IDENT' BY SOMEONE AND I DID. I WAS THEN TOLD TO CONTACT ZZZ2 APCH FOR POSSIBLE AIRSPACE VIOLATION. I THOUGHT THE REASON WAS THAT I 'CLIPPED ZZZ1 AIRSPACE; BUT LOOKED AT MY TRACK AND SAW I WAS OK.' I CALLED APCH AND WAS TOLD THAT I VIOLATED P40 AND THAT THE SUPVR WOULD 'FILE A PLT DEVIATION WITH FSDO.' I WAS UNAWARE OF THE NOTAM EXPANDING THE PROHIBITED AIRSPACE. AS SUCH A MAJOR NOTAM; I FEEL IT WORTHY OF ISSUING NEW SEC/WAC CHARTS AND OUTLINE THE NO FLY ZONE IN RED HASH MARKS WHEN IT IS SURFACE TO CLASS A AIRSPACE. I BELIEVE THE FAA SHOULD ALSO HAVE A WEBSITE WITH ALL NO FLY ZONES CLEARLY DEPICTED ON A USA INTERACTIVE MAP WITH A RED DOT. I COULD THEN CLICK THE 'RED DOT' AND SEE AN EXPLODED VIEW (MAP) AND READ THE NOTAM DETAILS -- NONE EXISTS AS I KNOW OF. IN THE LAST MONTH; I HAVE FLOWN WITH CLRNC INTO MANY CLASS B AIRSPACES PROPERLY. I BELIEVE BETTER REPORTING OF NOTAM WITH PICTURES (AND NEW MAPS) WOULD BETTER HELP ME THAN ANY OTHER 'REMEDIAL' TRAINING THAT MAY RESULT BECAUSE OF THIS.
