A PA32 PLT VIOLATED 'SPECIAL USE AIRSPACE' IN THE FORM OF A PROHIBITED AREA.
AFTER WAITING NEARLY 40 MINS WITH THE ACFT RUNNING; I WAS GETTING CONCERNED BECAUSE I KNEW THAT I NEEDED TO DEPART IN ORDER TO GET TO MY DEST BEFORE WEATHER WAS AN ISSUE. I CONTACTED ZZZ GND AND SAID THAT MAYBE I SHOULD DEPART VFR. GND REPLIED THAT THEY THOUGHT THAT ALSO WAS A GOOD IDEA. I RECEIVED A SQUAWK CODE AND DEP FREQUENCY FROM ZZZ AND THEN DEPARTED AT ABOUT XA45. ZZZ HANDED ME OFF TO ZZZ1. ONCE I WAS CLR OF ZZZ1 AIRSPACE; ZZZ1 TOLD ME TO SQUAWK VFR AND TO CONTACT ZZZ2 CENTER IN 10 MILES. AT THIS MOMENT; I WAS APPROX 28 MILES OUT FROM ZZZ. AS I WAS INSTRUCTED; I CONTACTED ZZZ2 CENTER IN 10 MILES ON THE FREQUENCY THAT ZZZ1 GAVE ME. ZZZ2 CENTER GAVE ME A XPONDER CODE FOR RADAR IDENTIFICATION AND INFORMED ME THAT I WAS APCHING PROHIBITED AIRSPACE. I ALSO KNEW THIS BECAUSE MY PRIMARY NAVIGATION (KING KLN-90A GPS) ALERTED ME THAT THE RESTR AIRSPACE WAS APCHING. ZZZ2 CTR SAID THAT I WOULD HAVE TO TURN N OR S TO AVOID THE PROHIBITED AIRSPACE AND THE DIRECTION WAS MY CHOICE. I CHOSE A TURN TO THE N AND WAS VECTORED TO A HEADING 360; WHICH I PERFORMED IMMEDIATELY. AFTER BEING VECTORED AROUND THE AREA A FEW MORE MILES; ZZZ2 CENTER INSTRUCTED ME TO TURN L 20 DEGS. SHORTLY AFTER THAT; I WAS INSTRUCTED TO TURN ON COURSE TO MY DEST. AFTER FLYING ON COURSE A FEW MILES; ZZZ2 CENTER INSTRUCTED ME TO CALL THEM VIA TELEPHONE UPON MY ARRIVAL TO MY FINAL DEST. ZZZ2 CENTER WAS AWARE THAT IT WOULD BE ABOUT 2.5 HRS TO MY FINAL DEST. UPON MY ARRIVAL; I CONTACTED ZZZ2 CENTER PER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS.
