AN INAPPROPRIATE COMMENT ABOUT A BOMB ON BOARD THE ACFT CAUSES CONCERN. CABIN ATTENDANTS DISAGREE WITH HOW PROB WAS HANDLED.
PAX IN COACH CABIN EXHIBITED STRANGE BEHAVIOR; SWITCHING SEATS DURING BOARDING; SPENDING EXTENDED TIME IN AFT LAV WITH A LARGE CARRY-ON BAG AND COMMENTED TO PAX THAT HE PUT A BOMB IN LAV. THE ACFT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SECURED FOR ALL ON BOARD AND AS A FLT ATTENDANT; IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN QUESTIONABLE AS TO WHETHER OR NOT BOMB DOGS SHOULD BE BROUGHT ON BOARD. THIS WAS ONLY DONE AFTER ACFT DOOR RE OPENED AND AUTHORITIES ASKED TO SPEAK WITH CAPT. CAPT DID NOT WANT TO ALARM PAX; BUT WE WERE NOT AT EASE AND CONFIDENT OF SECURITY OF ACFT. DOG SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROC. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: CALLBACK REVEALED THAT THE PAX WAS REMOVED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL; THE CABIN DOOR WAS CLOSED AND THE CAPT INSPECTED THE LAV FINDING IT SAFE. CABIN ATTENDANTS REQUESTED THAT DOGS BE BROUGHT ON TO GO OVER THE ACFT. WHEN THE CABIN DOOR WAS OPENED AGAIN FOR SECURITY TO CONFER WITH THE CAPT THE ATTENDANTS INSISTED THAT THEY WOULD NOT FLY UNTIL THE ACFT WAS SEARCHED BY DOGS. IT WAS.
