Synopsis

A C207 PLT ENCOUNTERED A LOSS OF ENG OIL AND PRESSURE RESULTING IN AN EMER LNDG AT TEMPLE BAR ARPT; AZ (U30).

Narrative

NOTED FLUCTUATION IN MANIFOLD PRESSURE AND FUEL FLOW FOLLOWED BY DECREASE IN OIL PRESSURE. FLEW TOWARDS U30 AND CONTINUED TO MONITOR OIL PRESSURE AND ENG INSTS. SET UP FOR NORMAL APCH TO LNDG RWY 18 AT U30. ON FINAL; NOTED OIL PRESSURE ZERO. MADE NORMAL LNDG RWY 18; AND TAXIED CLR WITH MOTOR STILL RUNNING. SHUT DOWN ACFT AND INSPECTED -- MUCH OIL ON R SIDE OF ACFT AND NO OIL ON DIPSTICK. PAX OK; NO DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY. NOTIFIED COMPANY AS THIS WAS A PART 135 FLT; AND ANOTHER ACFT WAS DISPATCHED WITH MAINT PERSONNEL. PAX WERE PICKED UP BY THIS SECOND ACFT AND CONTINUED ON THEIR FLT. MAINT PERSONNEL CLEANED OIL FROM ACFT AND ADDED NEW OIL TO MOTOR. PERFORMED ENG RUN-UP AT VARIOUS PWR SETTINGS AND PROP RPM. NO LEAKAGE AT NORMAL CRUISE PWR SETTINGS. MAINT DEEMED ACFT CAPABLE OF SAFE FLT FROM U30 TO HND; THE ACFT HOME BASE. MAINT CALLED COMPANY PRESIDENT AND NOTIFIED HIM OF OPERATIONAL RPT. COMPANY PRESIDENT INSTRUCTED US TO FLY THE ACFT BACK TO HND. UPON ARR AT HND; CHKED FOR OIL LEAKAGE AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF SUCH.
