Synopsis

TXWY INCURSION OCCURS WHEN THE PIC OF A CL65 IS RUSHING HIS TAXI PROC AT ATL; GA.

Narrative

THE CAPT I WAS FLYING WITH SHOWED UP 20 MINS PRIOR TO PUSHBACK ON OUR FIRST TRIP TO MONTEREY; MX (MTY). THE CAPT WAS OVER 25 MINS LATE; BUT ALSO WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH THE TIME DELAYS OF INTL FLYING FOR OUR AIRLINE. (OPERATING OUT OF A DIFFERENT CONCOURSE); HE PROCEEDED TO RUSH ALL CHKLISTS AND SEEMED UNCONCERNED WITH ANY SPECIAL BRIEFINGS OR CONSIDERATIONS COINCIDING WITH THIS BEING OUR FIRST INTL FLT FOR BOTH HIM AND I. I ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES TO ASK WHAT ELSE WE MIGHT WANT TO DISCUSS BEFORE WE GOT UNDERWAY; AND HE INSISTED WE JUST TALK ABOUT IT ENRTE. IT WAS A 3 HR LEG; SO I WENT ALONG WITH HIS DECISION. AFTER PUSHBACK; THE CAPT IMMEDIATELY STARTED TAXIING VERY FAST; AND BEFORE I COULD TELL HIM TO STOP; WE HAD TAXIED OUT OF RAMP X AND ONTO TXWY D IN ATLANTA. I CALLED GND; WHO HAD SEEN OUR OBVIOUS MISTAKE; AND THEY SCOLDED US; AND AFTER THE CAPT APOLOGIZED; WE WERE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE. I THEN TOLD THE CAPT MY CONCERNS ABOUT RUSHING; AND TOLD HIM WE NEEDED (OR 'HE' TO BE SPECIFIC) TO STOP RUSHING. THE PROB ALL ORIGINATED WITH HIS LACK OF PREPARATION AND RUSHING. I HAD ALL FMS PROGRAMMING; PAPERWORK; CLRNCS; AND INSPECTIONS DONE PRIOR TO HIS ARR. THIS BEING SAID; EVEN WITH THE MAJORITY OF HIS WORK ALREADY DONE; HIS STRESS AND RUSH COULD HAVE CAUSED US A VIOLATION.
