B757 FLC FLIES THE WRONG DEP CLRNC ON DEP FROM KLAS.
WE DEPARTED RWY 25R. THE FMC WAS PROGRAMMED FOR THE LAS 1 DEP. THE SID SPECIFIED FLY RWY HDG; MAINTAIN 7000 FT. AFTER TKOF; THE TWR SENT US TO DEP; WHO WAS RATHER BUSY. I CALLED IN GIVING OUR CURRENT ALT AND CLBING TO 7000 FT; HE ACKNOWLEDGED. OUT OF APPROX 6000 FT; THE CTLR MADE A XMISSION THAT WAS BLOCKED. THE CAPT TOLD ME; I THINK THAT WAS FOR US. AFTER HE FINISHED WITH THE ACFT THAT BLOCKED US; I CALLED BACK. HE WANTED TO KNOW WHY WE WERE NOT TURNING. I ADVISED WE WERE FLYING RWY HDG PER OUR CLRNC THE LAS 1 DEP. HE GAVE US A CLB TO 8000 FT; A TURN TO S; AND HE SAID I SHOW YOU CLRED VIA THE AACES RNAV 2 DEP. I ADVISED HIM WE HAD ABSOLUTELY BEEN CLRED THE LAS VEGAS 1 VIA OUR ACARS; PDC. I FELT BEYOND CERTAIN OF THAT IN MY MIND. AFTER LEVEL OFF AT CRUISE; I PULLED UP THE CLRNC FROM ACARS. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY ERROR. THE MIDDLE ITEM READ 'REVISED RTE; AACES RNAV 2 DEP.' PER OUR COMPANY'S FLT INFO LETTER 17-02; OUR B757 AND B767 ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO RNAV DEPS; BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE NEW 'FAA QUICK ALIGNMENT' REQUIREMENT FOR USA. THIS WAS MY 5TH DEP OUT OF LAS IN 5 WKS. OF THESE I HAD 1 PDC THAT GAVE ME THE AACES RNAV DEP AND CALLED CLRNC AND GOT THE LAS 1 DEP. ALL THE OTHERS CAME CLRED LAS 1 DEP. WHEN I READ THE PDC; I MAKE THE APPROPRIATE SETTINGS IN THE COCKPIT AND COPIED THE CLRNC ON MY NOTEPAD; ALWAYS! I FOLLOWED THIS PROC THIS DAY; AMAZINGLY I HAD BLINDERS ON. I HAD JUST GOT USED TO LAS 1 AND PUT IT IN MY MIND. THE LAS 1 WAS OUT ON MY YOKE CLIP! THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN. I'LL READ IT SEVERAL TIMES AND ASK THE CAPT TO CONFIRM THE CLRNC. IF I HAD DONE THIS; MY ERROR WOULD HAVE NEVER OCCURRED. THE FAA REQUIREMENT IS CAUSING LAS AND PHOENIX TRACON A LOT OF CONFUSION. IN LAS I FIND SOME CTLRS KNOW ABOUT IT; OTHERS DON'T. THE TRIP BEFORE THIS ONE; THE CTLR EVEN ASKED WHY WE COULD NOT DO RNAV DEPS. I ALSO FLY A LOT OF INTL FLYING IN THE B767. WITH ICAO DOING RNAV DEPS IS NO PROB. ALL OUR EUROPEAN DEPS ARE RNAV AND THERE ARE NO PROBS. IT SEEMS TO ME THE FAA IS CAUSING A LOT MORE PROBS FOR US AND ATC BY NOT ALLOWING US TO FLY RNAV DEPS.
