AEVO L29 LANDED WITH THE NOSE LNDG GEAR UP AND LOCKED INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR DOORS AND CAMERA POD. CAUSE UNKNOWN.
I WAS CONTRACTED TO PREPARE AND FERRY ACFT TO ZZZ FOR INSPECTION; AVIONIC INSTALLATION; AND GENERAL COSMETIC CLEAN-UP. THE SELLER STATED ACFT HAD NOT FLOWN IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS. OVER 2 DAYS; ACFT WAS CHKED IN PREPARATION FOR FERRY FLT. ALL SYS WERE FUNCTION TESTED AND FOUND TO OPERATE NORMALLY. AFTER 3 GND RUNS AND TAXI TESTS; ACFT WAS SIGNED OFF FOR FLT FROM XXX TO YYY. DUE TO NO RADIO STATUS; A CHASE ACFT WAS PROVIDED TO FLY WITH L29 AND PERFORM ALL COMS. WE BRIEFED THE FIRST LEG AND DEPARTED. UPON DEP; I SELECTED 'GEAR UP' AND SYS FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. I THEN EXTENDED GEAR AND AGAIN; NORMAL 3 GREEN LIGHTS. THEN I RETRACTED GEAR AND STARTED ON COURSE. FIRST STOP WAS TO BE BBB FOR FUEL. UPON APCHING AAA; I DECIDED THAT; DUE TO HEADWINDS AND LOW ALT CRUISE; I SHOULD STOP THERE FOR FUEL. I SIGNALED CHASE ACFT AND DSNDED TOWARDS THE ARPT. I SELECTED FLAPS TO APPROX 15 DEGS AND; AFTER EXTENSION; SELECTED GEAR DOWN. BOTH MAINS EXTENDED; BUT NOSE REMAINED UP AND LOCKED. TRIED EMER SYS -- NO CHANGE. I MADE 1 MORE CIRCLE AND RECEIVED GREEN LIGHT SIGNAL FROM TWR AND LANDED. NOSE RESTED ON GEAR DOORS AND CAMERA POD. NO OTHER DAMAGE. CAUSE OF NOSE GEAR FAILURE STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.
