A C-182 PLT VIOLATED A TFR IN SCT'S AIRSPACE.
I GOT ON LINE BRIEFING. (NOTE: SOMEHOW MISSED TFR WOULD BE IN EFFECT LATER THAT DAY). FIRST MISTAKE! FLEW VFR TO L71. WENT UP TWICE IN A KING AIR TO MAKE SKYDIVES. FIRST UP TO 10000 FT MSL; SECOND UP TO 14000 FT MSL. FROM THIS I COULD SEE THE WX CLEAR TO THE SHORELINE. THEREFORE; I FELT NO NEED TO CALL FSS AND GET A BRIEFING. SECOND MISTAKE! TOOK OFF FROM L71 AND CLBED TO 5500 FT MSL. I STARTED A DSCNT BTWN AQUA DULCE AND LAKE HUGHES. SWITCHED FREQ TO SCT APCH AND HEARD A LOT OF SQUAWK ABOUT LAX AND FILING FLT PLANS AND GETTING A CODE. THIS WAS NOT NORMAL OPS FOR THE AREA. SHOULD HAVE REQUESTED FROM ATC WHAT WAS UP; BUT THEY WERE SO BUSY WITH OTHER XMISSIONS; I OPTED TO NOT TALK TO THEM. THIRD MISTAKE! NEXT I CHANGED FREQ TO WHP TWR AND STATED; WHO I WAS AT 3500 FT; OVER NEWHALL PASS; LNDG. ATC REPLIED; 'DO YOU HAVE A CODE?' I REPLIED; 'YES; 1200.' THEN HE ASKED; 'SCT DID NOT GIVE YOU A DISCRETE CODE?' I REPLIED; 'NEGATIVE. I WAS NOT TALKING TO SCT.' AT THIS POINT; WHP ASKED IF I WAS AWARE OF THE TFR. I REPLIED; 'I GUESS NOT.' AT THIS POINT; I KNEW THAT TFR INCURSION HAD HAPPENED. THEN; ATC WHP CLRED ME TO LAND. I LANDED AND WHILE PUTTING MY PLANE IN THE HANGAR; A MAN CAME UP TO ME AND SAID; 'CALL THESE NUMBERS;' AND HANDED ME A PIECE OF PAPER. HE DID NOT IDENTIFY HIMSELF. I CALLED THE NUMBERS AND GAVE THEM THE INFO THEY WANTED.
