PLT OF C421 RUNS OFF THE END OF RWY 28R AT MYF AFTER LNDG. INABILITY TO STABILIZE APCH AFTER A HIGH TURN ON TO THE ILS BY SOCAL AND CHOICE NOT TO MAKE A GAR WHEN UNABLE TO DO SO CONTRIBUTED.
APCHING MYF I WAS CLRED TO DSND TO 4000 FT MSL AND PROCEEDED DIRECT TO NESTY INTXN. I WAS THEN CLRED TO 'MAINTAIN 4000 FT UNTIL ESTABLISHED; CLRED FOR THE ILS RWY 28R APCH.' THE ILS RWY 28R APCH AT MYF SHOWS A MINIMUM ALT OF 3300 FT MSL AT NESTY WITH A DSCNT TO SLIDE SLOPE INTERCEPT ALT OF 2100 FT AFTER NESTY. THIS SOCAL PLACED ME AT AN ALT ALMOST 2000 FT ABOVE THE NEXT SEGMENT WITH ONLY ABOUT 4 NM IN WHICH TO DSND; CONFIGURE; COMPLETE THE CHKLIST; STABILIZE THE ACFT FOR THE APCH; ALL PRIOR TO INITIATING A DSCNT UPON SLIDE SLOPE INTERCEPTION. THE PREDICTABLE RESULT WAS THAT I WAS SLIGHTLY HIGH AND SLIGHTLY FAST THROUGHOUT THE APCH AND EVEN THOUGH I WAS ABLE TO SLOW THE ACFT TO A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG SPD AFTER BREAKOUT; THE GND SPD THAT RESULTED FROM A SLIGHT TAILWIND RESULTED IN A RWY OVERSHOOT. THANKFULLY THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO PEOPLE; ACFT OR PROPERTY. WHILE I IN NO WAY BLAME ATC FOR THIS INCIDENT; I AS THE PIC SHOULD HAVE AND COULD HAVE PERFORMED MY DUTIES MUCH BETTER. I SUBMIT THIS RPT IN ORDER TO POINT OUT THAT THIS TYPE OF 'SLAM DUNK' APCH DOESN'T SEEM TO BE NECESSARY AND COULD LEAD TO OTHER INCIDENTS AND OR ACCIDENTS.
