Narrative

OGG CARGO RPTED OMITTING A CONTAINER RESULTING IN A 4500 LB WT AND BAL CLOSEOUT ERROR. ALSO MAINT INDICATED TAILSKID WOULD NOT EXTEND DUE TO A TAIL STRIKE. CAPT KEEPS PAPERWORK FROM ALL HIS INTL FLTS. PTOW FOR THIS FLT WAS 337600 LBS. CLOSEOUT TOW WAS 331936 LBS. CAPT DETERMINED WT DIFFERENCE TO BE FALL OFF IN CARGO. DEPARTED OGG RWY 2 WIND 050 DEGS/10 KTS. FO LEG. CAPT OBSERVED NORMAL ROTATION AND LIFTOFF. NO INDICATION OF TAILSKID CONTACT. ON APCH TO LAX AFTER EXTENSION RESULTED IN AFTER EXTENSION OF GEAR RESULTED IN ILLUMINATION TAILSKID LIGHT. CHKLIST CREW AWARENESS RESULTED IN NORMAL LNDG BY FO. WRITE-UP MADE FOR TAILSKID LIGHT ILLUMINATED UPON GEAR EXTENSION. LOOKING BACK A FEW MONTHS OF TYPICAL TKOF STABILIZER TRIM FOR B767-300 OUT OF OGG IS 1.7 TO 2.7. CLOSEOUT STABILIZER TRIM FOR THIS FLT WAS 3.6. ADDITIONAL INFO: TAILSKID LIGHT ILLUMINATION. ACTION TAKEN: MAINT REMOVED AND REPLACED TAILSKID CTL MODULE VLV PER MAINT MANUAL 32-71-01-4 LEAK CHK AND OPS CHK GOOD. ONLY VALVE REPLACED. THIS DOES NOT INDICATE TAIL STRIKE. A 31 DAY HISTORY OF HYD AND GEAR SYS SHOWED NO RECORD OF TAILSKID INDICATOR TRIP. NO RECORD OF CRUSHED TAILSKID CYLINDER. NO RECORD OF TAIL STRIKE INSPECTION. NO TAIL STRIKE. MISCOM BTWN MAINT AND CHIEF PLT THAT THERE WAS TAIL STRIKE.
