B777-200 CREW IGNORED 2 EGPWS WARNINGS AND MADE AN UNSTABILIZED APCH AND LNDG AT HNL.
FAILURE TO GO AROUND AFTER UNSTABILIZED APCH. FLT WAS CLRED FROM CRUISE AT FL380 DIRECT TO PERLY (IAF RWY 4R). DURING THE DSCNT; DEV AROUND CUMULO NIMBUS CLOUDS NEAR LIH WAS REQUIRED. FO (PF) GOT BEHIND ON THE DSCNT DUE TO TURB (280 KT DSCNT) AND WAS TOO HIGH THROUGHOUT THE APCH (AND TOO SLOW DEPLOYING DRAG DEVICES). FLT WAS CLRED FROM 3000 FT TO 1500 FT ON FINAL TURN TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 4R LOC 3 MI FROM PERLY. SPD WAS AROUND 250 KTS ON 9 MI FINAL WITH A 32 KT QUARTERING TAILWIND AT 3000 FT. SPD BRAKES WERE DEPLOYED AND GEAR DOWN AS FLAPS WERE SCHEDULED TO LNDG CONFIGN AS THE FLT DSNDED ON GS. THE ACFT WAS NOT SLOWING AS EXPECTED. SPD WAS APPROX 170 KTS AT 1200 FT. CAPT TOOK CTL OF THE ACFT AT APPROX 1000 FT AND 170 KTS. SPD BRAKES WERE EXTENDED TO FULL AND FLAPS 20 DEGS. THE EGPWS SOUNDED AS 'TOO LOW TERRAIN' WARNING OVER THE OCEAN (APCHING THRESHOLD OF RWY 4R) DUE TO ALT AND FLAP CONFIGN. ACFT SLOWED TO 150 KTS; SPD BRAKES WERE RETRACTED; AND FLAPS WERE EXTENDED TO 30 DEGS. ACFT CROSSED THE THRESHOLD AT APPROX 150 KTS AND TOUCHED DOWN AT APPROX 145 KTS NEAR THE END OF THE TOUCHDOWN ZONE (IN BTWN TXWYS F AND D) AND AUTOBRAKES 3 STOPPED THE ACFT TO TAXI SPD AT THE INTXN OF RWYS 4R AND 8L AND EXITED AT TXWY C. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 605792: LATE CONFIGN FOR LNDG WAS COMPOUNDED WITH 32 KT QUARTERING TAILWIND (26 KTS ON THE TAIL INITIALLY) WHICH RESULTED IN HIGH SPD PROFILE INSIDE THE MARKER (PERLY). I TOOK THE ACFT AFTER PERLY AND RAISED THE FLAPS TO 20 DEGS AND EXTENDED THE SPD BRAKES IN AN EFFORT TO SLOW THE ACFT AND MAINTAIN PROFILE. AT ABOUT 500 FT; STILL OVER THE OCEAN; 'TOO LOW TERRAIN' SOUNDED TWICE. I RETRACTED THE SPD BRAKES AND EXTENDED THE FLAPS TO POS 30 DEGS. WITH THE THROTTLES AT IDLE; I CONTINUED TO THE RWY WITH THE AIRSPD OVER THE THRESHOLD OF APPROX 150 KTS. TOUCHDOWN WAS FIRM WITH FULL REVERSE AND AUTOBRAKES 3. SPD BRAKES WERE NOT DEPLOYED AS THEY REMAINED IN THE FULL DOWN DETENT (NOT ARMED).
