B767 CREW RETURNED TO THEIR DEP ARPT BECAUSE OF A L BLEED WARNING AND AN EICAS L HIGH PRESSURE SHUTOFF VALVE WARNING. THE CREW WAS EMBARKING ON A PACIFIC ETOPS FLT.
L BLEED L HIGH PRESSURE SHUTOFF VALVE. ATC FACILITY; ZHN. ON CLBOUT; PASSING ABOUT 12000 FT; GOT L BLEED LIGHT; FOLLOWED BY L HIGH PRESSURE SHUTOFF VALVE LIGHT ON EICAS. RETURNED TO HNL. TWR ASKED IF WE WERE ABLE TO HOLD SHORT OF INTERSECTING RWY. WE SAID NO; WE WANTED FULL LENGTH. HE CONFIRMED WE WOULD HAVE FULL LENGTH. LNDG WT WAS ABOUT 336500 LBS. OVERWT LNDG PROCS WERE CONSULTED AND FOLLOWED. LANDED RWY 8L. SINK RATE LESS THAN 100 FPM. ALL RWY USED. BRAKES APPLIED AT LESS THAN 100 KTS. TEMP APPROX 20 DEGS C. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 607260: THE FLT FROM HNL TO DFW INVOLVED AN AIR INTERRUPT DUE TO A L ENG HIGH PRESSURE SHUTOFF VALVE MALFUNCTION IN THE DEP CLB. THE DECISION WAS MADE TO RETURN TO HNL. CONSIDERATION WAS GIVEN TO THE OVERWT LNDG CONDITION AND ALL APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS WERE CONSULTED AND COMPLETED. A NORMAL APCH WAS CONDUCTED TO FULL LENGTH RWY 8L AT HNL. TOUCHDOWN WAS WELL WITHIN RECOMMENDED DSCNT RATE AND NORMAL BRAKING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH A COMFORTABLE ROLLOUT. BRAKE COOLING AND QUICK TURNAROUND CONSIDERATIONS WERE CONSULTED AND COMPLIED WITH. MAINT AND RPTING PROCS WERE COMPLETED AND THE FLT THEN DEPARTED FOR A ROUTINE XING AND ARR AT DFW.
