PC12 FLT CREW EXPERIENCED COM AND CLRNC DIFFICULTIES WITH ATC INTO AND OUT OF MYGF.

UNITED STATES CTLRS TOLD US TO CONTACT FREEPORT APCH ABOUT 30 MI FROM ARPT. FREEPORT APCH; AT ABOUT 14 MI OUT; TOLD US TO GO DIRECT TO LOCATOR OM AND EXPECT THE ILS RWY 6. APCH CTL NEVER TURNED US OVER TO TWR. AT 6 MI FROM ARPT ON FINAL APCH; WE ASKED CTLR IF WE SHOULD SWITCH TO TWR. NO RESPONSE. IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED TO TWR (4.5 MI OUT) AND EXPLAINED SIT. TWR CALLED TFC 1 MI; 12 O'CLOCK POS. WE OBSERVED NO TFC VISUALLY OR ON TCASII. CONTINUED TO TELL TWR DME FROM ARPT. AT .5 MI FROM RWY; CLRED TO LAND. TWR STILL SEEMED CONFUSED AS TO OUR POS. LANDED AND CLRED CUSTOMS. OUTBOUND: PICKED UP CLRNC. CLRED BR68V. COULD NOT FIND IT ON LATIN AMERICAN 5/6 HI/LO CHART. QUERIED GND ABOUT BR68V. TOLD IT WAS SAME AS BR66V INBOUND; BUT WAS 68V OUTBOUND. WE PUT BR66V INTO GPS. BAHAMAS CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE ESTABLISHED ON AIRWAY. WE CONFIRMED WE WERE. THEY THEN TURNED US OVER TO UNITED STATES CTLR WHO ASKED IF WE WERE GOING TO MUNEO INTXN ON BR68V. WE ASKED FOR SPELLING OF INTXN. THEY GAVE IT TO US AND BOTH CTLRS AND WE REALIZED THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION AS TO ROUTING. (CTLR PUSHED US TO SQUAWK IDENT.) CTLR VECTORED US BACK ON TO BR68V; WHICH WE FOUND ON THE SE 5/6 LO CHART. MUST BE VERY CAREFUL TALKING TO BAHAMIAN CTLRS AND VERIFY CAREFULLY WHAT TOLD. ALSO; THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT HAVE RADAR AS THEY CONSTANTLY QUERIED US AS TO DME.
