A B737-900 HAD NOSE GEAR TIRES REPLACED PER PLT'S RPT OF VIBRATIONS. ALSO HAD SCHEDULED NOSE TIRE CHK. TECHNICIAN SIGNED OFF BOTH RPTS ON SAME LOG PAGE.
I WAS ASSIGNED TO CHANGE BOTH NOSE LNDG GEAR TIRES ON ACFT X. THIS WAS DUE TO A PLT DEFERRAL FOR NOSE GEAR VIBRATION RPTED ON LOG PAGE ABCDEFG. I WAS ALSO ASSIGNED A NORMAL SCHEDULED TIRE CHK. IN ADDITION TO THE TIRE CHK PAPERWORK; I WAS GIVEN A NON ROUTINE TECHNICIAN'S WRITE-UP OR JOB CARD REQUESTING THE TIRE CHANGE. AFTER COMPLETING THE WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MAINT MANUAL; I BEGAN TO FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK AND DOCUMENTED THE TIRE CHANGE ON THE SAME NON ROUTINE TECHNICIAN'S WRITE-UP OR JOB CARD ABCDKLM; AS I DOCUMENTED THE TIRE CHK. AFTER DISPATCHING THE ACFT; I ENTERED THE TIRE CHK LOG PAGE (ABCDKM) AND I CLRED THE TIRE CHANGE DEFERRAL (LOG PAGE ABCDEFG) IN MAINT COMPUTER. IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED THE NON ROUTINE TECHNICIAN'S WRITE-UP OR JOB CARD CALLED FOR A SEPARATE LOG ENTRY FOR THE TIRE CHANGE. INSTEAD OF COMBINING THE TIRE CHK AND TIRE CHANGE INFO ON THE SAME LOG PAGE; I SHOULD HAVE CLRED THE TIRE CHANGE BY GENERATING A NEW LOG PAGE WHICH RECORDED THE NON ROUTINE TECHNICIAN'S WRITE-UP OR JOB CARD WORK SEPARATELY. ADDITIONALLY; I DID NOT USE THE SAME SIGNOFF FOR THE TIRE CHK NON ROUTINE TECHNICIAN'S WRITE-UP OR JOB CARD AS I DID ON ITS CORRESPONDING LOG PAGE; IE; I SIGNED THE NON ROUTINE TECHNICIAN'S WRITE-UP OR JOB CARD OFF AS 'TIRE CHK ACCOMPLISHED; NO MAINT ACTION REQUIRED.'
