B757 CAPT RPTS COST CTLS RECENTLY IMPLEMENTED BY HIS ACR RESULT IN COMPROMISED SAFETY OF FLT DUE TO SCHEDULE INDUCED EXCESSIVE FATIGUE AND STRINGENT POLICY REGARDING FUEL USE.

Narrative

FLEW THIS ROTATION OR A VARIANCE OF SAME 4 TIMES PREVIOUSLY THIS MONTH. FIRST DAY IS PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING WITH AN EARLY SIGN-IN (A VERY EARLY WAKE-UP FOR ME). FORTUNATELY IT'S JUST A SINGLE LEG TO LONG LAYOVER PRIOR TO FLYING ALMOST 16 HRS THE NEXT 2 DAYS FOR A TOTAL FLT TIME OF 19 HRS 30 MINS FOR 3 DAYS. THAT WAS UNTIL TODAY. WE WERE TOLD TO CHK OUR TRIP INFO WHEN WE GOT TO ZZZ. UPON ARR; FOUND SCHEDULING HAD US NOW SCHEDULED FOR A 2 HR SIT FOLLOWED BY A ZZZ-ZZZ1 LEG; FOLLOWED BY A 30 MIN STOP TO DEADHEAD ON AN ZZZ1-ZZZ FLT. ZZZ-ZZZ1 FLT WAS DELAYED DUE TO MECHANICAL. FLT WAS ALSO FUEL PLANNED SHORT PER COMPANY POLICY SINCE FINANCIAL PROBS. GOT INTO HOLDING AT ZZZ1 DUE TO SURROUNDING TSTMS (THOUGH NO ALTERNATE REQUIRED OR FUEL PLANNED); THEN GOT SENT AROUND DUE TO ATC LOSING SPACING ON PRECEDING ACFT. DECLARED MINIMUM FUEL AND RETURNED FOR LNDG. LANDED WITH OVER-BURN OF 1700 LBS AND ABOUT 18 MINS ABOVE MINIMUM FUEL. COPLT WAS WEAK AND FATIGUED AS WELL. FOUND MYSELF REALLY WORKING TO KEEP FOCUSED ON POINT WITH SUCCESSION OF INCREASING WORKLOAD. MISSED RADIO CALLS OR ASKED TO HAVE THEM REPEATED TO GET INSTRUCTIONS STRAIGHT. THIS AIRLINE WILL BEAR WATCHING AS THE PLT PUSH CONTINUES. IT'S SEEKING RELEASE FROM WORK RULES DICTATING DUTY HRS; BEHIND THE CLOCK FLYING; AND TOTAL MONTHLY FLYING COMBINED WITH CUTBACKS IN FUEL AND MAINT; THE BEAN COUNTERS ARE SETTING US UP FOR INCIDENTS OR ACCIDENTS.
