DEPARTING CDG FO FLYING; AT APPROX 120 KTS; THE R ENG GENERATOR TRIPPED WITH R GENERATOR OFF EICAS MESSAGE. CONTINUED TKOF; CLB; SID. CAPT AND SECOND FO RAN L(R) GENERATOR OFF IRREGULAR CHKLIST; UNABLE TO RESET R GENERATOR; AND STARTED AND RAN APU. SENT 'CALL ME' ACARS TO DISPATCH. CONTACTED DISPATCH ON SATCOM. 3-WAY CREW/DISPATCH/MAINT ON THE CALL. AFTER DISCUSSION DETERMINED OK TO CONTINUE FLT BASED ON GOOD WX ENRTE AND ETOPS ALTERNATES; ADDITIONAL APU BURN; AT APPROX XA55Z GOT STATUS MESSAGE 'APU OIL QUANTITY' ON LOWER EICAS. ASKED DISPATCH TO GET MAINT INPUT ON THIS. MAINT STATED THAT WITH THIS MESSAGE; THE APU SHOULD BE GOOD FOR ABOUT 30 HRS. AGAIN; WITH CREW AND DISPATCH; DECISION MADE TO CONTINUE FLT. AT APPROX XC00Z; APU SHUT DOWN AUTOMATICALLY. CALLED DISPATCH ON SATCOM AND MAINT; GOT OTHER FO ON BREAK BACK-UP TO COCKPIT. DISCUSSED POSSIBLE DIVERSION TO KEF. MAINT AGREED TO TRY TO RESET THE R GENERATOR BY RESETTING THE R MAIN RELAY SWITCH ON FIRST OBSERVER'S PANEL. FIELD CLOSED AND GENERATOR BROUGHT ON LINE. AGAIN DECISION WAS TO CONTINUE. I CHOSE TO LEAVE UTILITY BUSSES OFF FOR MINIMUM LOAD ON GENERATORS. OPS NORMAL UNTIL ABOUT XG00Z WHEN EICAS MESSAGE R GENERATOR DRIVE APPEARED. CAPT CAME UP FROM BREAK AFTER DISCUSSION AGAIN WITH DISPATCH/MAINT/CREW DIVERTED TO NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT (TORONTO) WITH 1 GENERATOR AFTER DISCONNECTING R DRIVE PER CHKLIST. NORMAL DSCNT/APCH/LNDG. EXCELLENT WX. EXCELLENT CRM BTWN CREW; DISPATCH; MAINT; AND FLT ATTENDANTS.
