CITATION CE550 FLT CREW ENCOUNTERS ANOTHER ACFT DURING TKOF AT MRH.
MONITORING BOTH UNICOM 122.8 AND CLRNC 125.65. ON TAXI OUT; WE RECEIVED OUR CLRNC AND COMPLETED THE TAXI AND PRE TKOF CHKLISTS. THE FO WAS RUNNING THE CHKLISTS AND COPYING AND READING BACK THE CLRNC. I WAS MONITORING AND RESPONDING TO CHKLIST ITEMS AND CLRNC. BECAUSE THE FO WAS VERY BUSY I ALSO WAS MONITORING UNICOM FOR OTHER ACFT IN THE AREA. WE CHOSE TO USE RWY 3 AFTER REVIEWING THE ASOS WX: CLR SKIES; WIND 070 DEGS AT 8 KTS; AND NOT SEEING OR HEARING ANY OTHER TFC IN THE AREA. AT THE END OF THE RWY WE INFORMED CLRNC THAT WE WERE READY FOR RELEASE; HE CAME BACK WITH THE RELEASE WITH A VERY CLOSE VOID TIME AND AFTER TKOF INSTRUCTIONS; WE STARTED THE TKOF ROLL IN A HURRY-UP MINDSET BECAUSE OF THE VOID TIME AND I INADVERTENTLY MISSED THE TKOF CALL ON UNICOM. I HAD BEEN MONITORING UNICOM AND HAD NOT HEARD ANY OTHER TFC. CLRNC; WHO WAS ALSO DEP CTL; INFORMED US THAT NO OTHER TFC WAS OBSERVED IN THE AREA. AT MIDFIELD AND APPROX V1; I OBSERVED A SMALL CESSNA; APPARENTLY ON TKOF CLBOUT DIRECTLY AHEAD AND APPEARED TO BE ABOUT 400 FT ABOVE THE RWY. I ROTATED SLOWLY AND MADE A SLIGHT L TURN TO INCREASE THE DISTANCE BTWN US; CONTINUED STRAIGHT OUT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE R TURN I WOULD BE MAKING AS PART OF THE DEP WOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH HIS PATTERN; SINCE IT APPEARED THAT HE HAD NOT SEEN US. MY ESTIMATION OF THE DISTANCES INVOLVED WERE 500 FT HORIZ BEHIND HIM AND 400 FT BELOW. THIS WAS A WAKE-UP CALL TO NOT LET ANYTHING HURRY ME UP AND CHANGE MY PROCS.
