B757 HAS OVERWING WINDOW EXIT SLIDE DEPLOY INFLT.
1 HR AFTER TKOF; THE COCKPIT CALLED #1 FLT ATTENDANT AND #3 FLT ATTENDANT ANSWERED. THE CAPT SAID THAT THERE WAS AN INDICATION OF A SLIDE BEING DEPLOYED. #3 FLT ATTENDANT WENT TO THE WINDOW EXITS TO CHK THE WINDOWS BUT EVERYTHING APPARENTLY LOOKED OK. ABOUT 1 HR BEFORE LNDG IN ZZZ; #2 FLT ATTENDANT WAS IN THE AFT GALLEY AND CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THAT A LADY SEATED IN 16A WAS UPSET BECAUSE SHE WAS GOING TO MISS CONNECTING FLT IN ZZZ AND THAT WE DID NOT HAVE ANY PILLOWS ON BOARD. I WENT TO TALK TO THE LADY AT 16A. I STOOD IN THE AISLE FOR ABOUT 10 MINS AND EXPLAINED TO HER THAT SHE WAS GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE HER CONNECTING FLT BECAUSE SHE HAD 1 HR ON THE GND IN DFW ONCE WE LANDED AND I ALSO EXPLAINED TO HER WE ONLY CARRIED PILLOWS AND BLANKETS ON INTL FLTS AND THAT ZZZ1 WAS NOT REALLY AN INTL FLT BECAUSE IT WAS INSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND THAT WAS THE REASON WHY WE DID NOT HAVE BLANKETS AND PILLOWS. WHILE I WAS IN ROW 16 IN THE AISLE; I SAW A QUICK SHADOW IN A WINDOW ON THE L SIDE OF THE PLANE AND FOLLOWED BY A STRONG NOISE (IT SOUNDED LIKE A BOMB) AND THE PLANE SHOOK FOR A FEW SECONDS. #4 FLT ATTENDANT WAS WATCHING FIRST CLASS AND RAN TOWARDS ME. I COULD BARELY FELL MY LEGS AND I HAD TO REMAIN CALM SINCE I WAS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLANE AND ALL PAX WERE LOOKING AT ME. (THEY LOOKED SO SCARED; IT SCARED ME TOO! SOME PAX WERE CRYING AND SOME MOVED RIGHT THE WAY FROM THE L WINDOW EXIT AREA TO THE R SIDE OF THE PLANE). I STARTED LOOKING THROUGH THE WINDOW TRYING TO SEE IF THERE WAS FIRE IN THE L ENG OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT WHEN I REMEMBERED TO CHK DOWN THEN THE WINDOWS RIGHT AFTER THE WINGS AND I COULD SEE THE PART OF THE SLIDE FLYING. I FOUND OUT THAT THE COCKPIT HAD DECLARED AN EMER LNDG. ONCE WE LANDED AND THE CAPT MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT SOME EMER EQUIP AND THE FIRE DEPT WERE WAITING FOR US TO CHK THE PLANE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE ARR GATE. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINS; WE WERE TOWED IN TO THE GATE. AND ONCE WE OPENED THE DOOR; FIRE MEN CAME TO THE COCKPIT TO TALK TO THE CAPT. THE GND PERSONNEL THAT MET THE FLT HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO OUR FLT. IT WAS VERY SCARY! (AND ON TOP OF THINGS; I WAS CHOSEN RANDOMLY TO GO FOR A DRUG TEST AFTER THIS 4 DAY TRIP!) WE DID NOT HAVE A DEBRIEF UPON ARR IN ZZZ.
