CABIN ATTENDANT REPORTS SYMPTOMS OF EXTREME FATIGUE FOLLOWING AN ALL NIGHT TURNAROUND WHICH INCLUDED A PLANE CHANGE AND ASSOCIATED DELAYS.

Narrative

I WAS ASSIGNED A TRIP WHICH WAS SCHEDULED TO DEADHEAD TO ZZZ AND TURN BACK AND WORK TO ZZZ1 AS AN ALL-NIGHTER TURN. I WAS CONVERTED TO WORK ZZZ1 TO ZZZ IN ADDITION TO WORK MY HOMEBOUND SEGMENT. MY CREW; HOWEVER; DEADHEADED. WORKING OVER I FELT OK NORMAL WORK DAY. I FELT PERKY AND WAS VERY POLITE AND KIND TO MY PAX AND VERY PROACTIVE. IN ZZZ WE WERE TOLD WE HAD AN ACFT CHANGE AND WERE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PLANE. WHILE IN THE TERMINAL THERE WAS NO WAY TO REST. FOR THE RETURN FLT WE BOARDED ON TIME AND I WAS FINE. AFTER DEP; I STARTED SHOWING SIGNS OF FATIGUE. I WAS NOT AWARE UNTIL MY FLYING PARTNER ASKED IF I WAS OK AND SHE SAID I WAS BEING VERY SHORT WITH HER. I APOLOGIZED AND CARRIED ON. THEN SHE POINTED OUT THE FACT THE BEVERAGE ORDERS SHE GAVE ME WERE NOT RIGHT AS I WAS PUTTING ICE WHERE IT WAS NO ICE AND SO ON. I WAS GETTING CONFUSED ABOUT MY SURROUNDINGS. I ASKED TO LEAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SVC TO GO TO THE RESTROOM AND FRESHEN UP. I WASHED MY FACE WITH COLD WATER AND NOTHING WAS HELPING. I DOUBLE BREWED SOME COFFEE AND NOTHING WAS HELPING. IN RETURN; THE STRONG COFFEE CAUSED HEARTBURN. THE WHOLE FLT SEEMS LIKE A BLUR AS I DON'T REMEMBER MUCH OF IT. DURING DSCNT; I MADE MY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PEOPLE COMPLAINED THAT THEY COULD NOT UNDERSTAND ME. DURING FINAL INTO ZZZ1 I HAD TO SIT ON MY JUMPSEAT AND SLAP MY FACE REPEATEDLY FROM FALLING ASLEEP. AT THE GATE; I LITERALLY HAD TO LOOK AT MY DOOR A FEW TIMES TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS DOING OR ABOUT TO DO. I ASKED ASSISTANCE FROM A DEADHEADING FLT ATTENDANT TO VERIFY THAT I AM ABOUT TO DISARM THE WAY I SHOULD. WHEN DOWN THE JETWAY; I HAD TO RUN BACK AS I HAD ALREADY FORGOTTEN IF I DISARMED MY DOOR. I BARELY MADE IT TO MY CAR AND ON THE DRIVE FROM ZZZ1 TO MY CRASH PAD I FOUND I WAS SWERVING ALL OVER THE FREEWAY LANE. WHEN I PARKED MY CAR I GOT OUT; LEFT MY LUGGAGE IN MY CAR; AND WENT TO BED IN MY CRASH PAD WEARING MY UNIFORM. I WAS AFRAID FOR MY SAFETY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT ON THE ROAD AND KILLING MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE WHILE HAVING THE FEAR ABOUT MY DOOR AND MY RESPONSIBILITIES THE WHOLE TIME. HAD WE EVACED; I FEEL I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PERFORM UP TO MY REQUIRED STANDARDS. THE ALL-NIGHTER TRIPS ARE UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS.
