FLT CREW FAILS TO NOTE REVISED PORTION OF PDC CLRNC. TRACK DEV FOLLOWS.
ON OUR FIRST LEG OF THE DAY; WE WERE FILED FOR A NON-STD RTE. THE FO RECEIVED THE PDC CLRNC. I LOOKED OVER AT THE PDC CLRNC WHILE HE WAS CONFIRMING IT WITH OUR DISPATCH RELEASE. I APPARENTLY LOOKED AT THE SECOND LINE OF THE RELEASE WEVIC1 BCE GRNPA1 INSTEAD OF THE MODIFIED RELEASE - WEVIC1 KSINO GRNDPA1 - ABOVE OUR FILED RELEASE. THE FO MADE THE SAME MISTAKE. WE REVIEWED THE RTE IN THE FMC AGAINST OUR FILED RTE. SALT LAKE CENTER CALLED US ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTH OF URNUW AND ASKED IF WE WERE ENRTE TO CDC WHICH WAS ON OUR MODIFIED CLRNC. I REPLIED WE WERE ENRTE TO BCE OUR FILED CLRNC. HE CLEARED US TO KSINO; THE MODIFIED RELEASE CLRNC. WE QUICKLY PULLED UP THE PDC CLRNC AND DISCOVERED OUR MISTAKE. THERE WERE NO TFC CONFLICTS AND ATC DID NOT RPT ANY CONFLICT. BOTH THE FO AND I REVIEWED OUR ERROR AND HOW WE MISSED THE MODIFIED CLRNC. WE HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE MODIFIED RELEASE IS IN BETWEEN THE DASHES. I WILL BE MORE DILIGENT WHILE LOOKING AT THE PDC. I THINK IT WOULD HELP MYSELF AND OTHER CREWS IF THE PDC CLRNC DID NOT HAVE THE PORTIONS OF THE FILED CLRNC IF IT HAS BEEN MODIFIED. HAVING BOTH THE FILED AND MODIFIED CLRNCS SETS UP A CREW TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE MADE. IF ATC TYPES IN THE CLRNC IS IT POSSIBLE TO REMOVE THAT PORTION OF THE CLRNC THAT IS MODIFIED? I HAVE DEFINITELY LEARNED THE PITFALLS OF READING THE PDC.
