AFTER DEFERRING A LEFT-HAND FORWARD GALLEY OVEN AND RELEASING A B737-400 ACFT; THE DOWNLINE STATION INFORMS MECHANIC HE ACTUALLY DEFERRED THE RIGHT-HAND FORWARD OVEN; PULLED AND COLLARED THE RIGHT CIRCUIT BREAKER AND ENTERED WRONG MEL IN LOGBOOK.
ACFT ARRIVED IN ZZZ1 FOR DISCREPANCY: ACFT LEFT; OVEN IN FIRST CLASS NOT HEATING PROPERLY. AFTER TALKING TO THE 'A' STATION FLT ATTENDANT WHO STATED THAT THE ACFT L-HAND FORWARD GALLEY OVEN WAS NOT HEATING UP PROPERLY; I CONTACTED MAINT CTL AND CONSULTED ABOUT THE PROPER MEL AND AUTH. THE CTLR STATED FOR ME TO USE MEL 25-10A AND I AGREED. I CHKED THE MEL BOOK FOR B737-400 AND SAW THE OVEN COULD BE MEL'ED. SO I ACCOMPLISHED THE MEL MAINT PROC WHICH WAS TO PULL AND COLLAR THE APPROPRIATE OVEN CIRCUIT BREAKER. I THEN ACCOMPLISHED THE MAINT LOG CORRECTIVE ACTION DOCUMENTATION FOR THE MEL ON LOG PAGE. THE ACFT DEPARTED ZZZ1 AND ARRIVED IN ZZZ2 WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT I HAD PULLED AND COLLARED THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE R-HAND OVEN INSTEAD OF THE L-HAND. WHEN I HAD ACCOMPLISHED THIS I BELIEVED THAT I WAS USING THE CORRECT CIRCUIT BREAKER AT THE TIME. ALSO THERE WAS A SECOND ERROR ON MY PART WITH THIS DISCREPANCY WHICH WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN BY MR X; MAINT AND ENGINEERING; THAT I HAD ENTERED THE WRONG MEL REF ON THE LOG PAGE. INSTEAD OF MEL 25-10A I HAD ENTERED 25-10B. I BELIEVE THAT I MADE THIS MISTAKE ACCIDENTALLY.
