AN EMB190 CAPT REPORTS DIVERTING AFTER BEING UNABLE TO ENGAGE AUTOPLT AND AUTOTHROTTLE. A TAT PROBE AND ONE AUTOTHROTTLE CHANNEL WERE MEL'ED BEFORE FLT. RVSM NO USEABLE.
ACFT WAS DISPATCHED WITH 3 MEL'S TAT PROB #1; AUTOTHROTTLE CHANNEL NOT DEFINED AND VACUUM PUMP FOR FORWARD LAVATORY. FLT PROCEEDED NORMALLY UNTIL 800 FT AGL; THE AUTOPLT AND AUTOTHROTTLE DISCONNECTED. ACFT WAS HAND FLOWN THROUGH MOST OF THE RNAV DEP. IN LOW WORKLOAD; ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO RECONNECT AUTOTHROTTLE AND AUTOPLT -- NO SUCCESS WITH AUTOTHROTTLE; LIMITED SUCCESS WITH AUTOPLT. AUTOPLT WAS ABLE TO ACCEPT FLT DIRECTOR COMMAND VERT FPA HORIZ ROLL OR ABQ THESE COMMANDS WERE ACCEPTABLE UNTIL WE EXPECTED ASEL FOR ALT CAPTURE. THE ACFT WOULD THEN INDICATE LIM AND AUTOPLT WOULD AGGRESSIVELY PITCH UP. WE ATTEMPTED TO ENGAGE THE AUTOPLT AT CRUISE LEVEL. THE ACFT WOULD ONLY MAINTAIN ALT IN FPA MODE. SINCE WE WERE EQUIP LIMITED IN RVSM DISCUSSION WITH DISPATCH DIVERTED FLT INTO ZZZ. ACFT WAS MANUALLY FLOWN INTO ZZZ WITHOUT INCIDENT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE REPORTER SAID THAT THE CREW DID NOT ATTEMPT TO EXPERIMENT WITH THE VARIOUS COMBINATIONS OF EQUIPMENT IN ORDER TO RESTORE THE AP AND AT. THEY WERE BUSY DECIDING WHERE TO TAKE THE AIRCRAFT SINCE IT COULD ONLY BE FLOWN AT THE LOWER FLT LEVELS AND NEEDED TO BE AT A MAINTENANCE STATION. HIS ACR HAS NOT GIVEN HIM A CAUSE FOR THIS EVENT.
