ACR MLG POWERED BACK WITH ICE AND SNOW ON RAMP CAUSING COMPRESSOR STALLS; THEN CONTINUED FLT WITHOUT DAMAGE CHECK.
DURING PWRBACK FROM THE GATE AT DFW; POSSIBLE ENG DAMAGE OCCURRED DUE TO ICE AND SNOW INGESTION BY THE ENG. DALLAS HAD EXPERIENCED ICE PELLETS; FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW THE NIGHT BEFORE; AND RWYS AND RAMPS WERE SNOW AND ICE PACKED. DURING PWRBACK 2 COMPRESSOR STALLS WERE HEARD; BUT THE ENGS APPEARED NORMAL ON TAXI OUT. THE ACFT WAS THEN DEICED AT THE DEICING BAY. BOTH ENGS STARTED AND A NORMAL TKOF MADE FOR CHI; IL. DURING CLB THROUGH 30000'; 3 COMPRESSOR STALLS WERE HEARD AND THE RIGHT ENG THROTTLED BACK. AT REDUCED PWR THE ENG OPERATED NORMALLY; BUT IF CLB PWR WAS APPLIED; IT WOULD AGAIN COMPRESSOR STALL. A DISCUSSION TOOK PLACE IN REGARDS TO LNDG AT THE NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT; BUT THE CAPT DECIDED SINCE THE ENG WAS OPERATING OK AT REDUCED PWR. WE WOULD CONTINUE ON TO OUR DEST. UPON ARR IN CHI; TURBINE BLADE DAMAGE WAS NOTICED DURING THE POST-FLT WALK AROUND. IN MY OPINION A NUMBER OF BAD JUDGEMENTS WERE MADE ON THIS FLT. PWRBACK FROM THE GATE IS NOT AUTH BY OUR OPERATIONS SPECS; AND YET WE DID SO; EVEN WITH ICE AND SNOW CONTAMINATING THE RAMP. ALTHOUGH I EXPRESSED CONCERN OF NOT BEING ABLE TO PWRBACK DUE TO ICE AND SNOW BUILD UP; I WAS NOT FORCEFUL ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE CAPT'S DECISION. AT ALT I AGAIN SUGGESTED THAT WE DEV TO THE NEAREST ARPT; BUT WAS NOT FORCEFUL ENOUGH TO INFLUENCE THE CAPT'S DECISION TO CONTINUE TO CHI.
