SMA PLT DEPARTING ARPT ADJACENT TCA USED FREQ ASSIGNED. AFTER CONTACT; FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS PENETRATED TCA.

Narrative

I WAS AT FLL. I WANTED TO GO VFR TO TAMIAMI ARPT. PRIOR TO STARTING MY ENG; I CALLED CLRNC DELIVERY ON THE RADIO. I ADVISED CLRNC DELIVERY THAT I WISHED TO FLY TO TAMIAMI ARPT AT 1500' VFR. I WAS ADVISED BY CLRNC DELIVERY THAT I WAS CLRED TO TAMIAMI ARPT. CLRNC DELIVERY THEN ADVISED ME TO CONTACT GND CTL FOR TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. I STARTED THE ENG; CONTACT GND CTL AND WAS CLRED TO THE ACTIVE RWY (WHICH I BELIEVE WAS 9R). AFTER RUN-UP; I CONTACTED FLL TWR. I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF; GIVEN CLRNC TO 1500'; DIRECT TO TURN RIGHT TO (I BELIEVE) 270 DEGS AFTER TKOF; AND GIVEN WHAT I BELIEVED WAS A DEP FREQ OF 124.4. I TOOK OFF; BEGAN TO CLB; TURNED RIGHT TO 270 DEGS AND ESTABLISHED RADIO CONTACT ON THE FREQ; WHICH I HAD BEEN GIVEN BY THE TWR. ON MY INITIAL CALL-UP; I STATED Y ALT AND STATED MY INTENTION TO LAND AT TAMIAMI. I BELIEVED THAT I WAS SPEAKING TO THE APPROPRIATE APCH CTL FOR TAMIAMI ARPT. I GAVE MY POS AS APPROX 25 MI N OF TAMIAMI ARPT. IN RESPONSE TO MY XMISSION; I WAS TOLD TO RPT; '5 MI N OF THE ARPT.' I BELIEVED THAT THIS MEANT THAT I WAS TO RPT 5 MI N OF TAMIAMI ARPT AND THAT I WAS CLRED DIRECTLY TO TAMIAMI ARPT. I THEREFORE TURNED S AND PROCEEDED TOWARD TAMIAMI ARPT AT 1500'. WHEN I WAS APPROX 5 MI N OF THE FIELD. WHEN I WAS APPROX 5 MI N OF THE FIELD; I CONTACTED TAMIAMI TWR FOR LNDG INSTRUCTIONS; OBTAINED THOSE INSTRUCTIONS AND LANDED AT TAMIAMI ARPT. AFTER LNDG; I WAS ADVISED BY RADIO BY GND CTL THAT I WAS TO CALL A SPECIFIC PHONE #. I CALLED THE PHONE #; WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE THAT OF SOME OFFICIAL OF MIA APCH. I WAS ADVISED BY THAT OFFICIAL THAT I HAD NOT BEEN CLRED TO ENTER THE MIA TCA; AND THAT I HAD IN FACT ENTERED THE TCA W/O CLRNC. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT IMPRECISE RADIO COMS WERE THE CAUSE OF THIS INADVERTENT VIOLATION ON MY PART. APPARENTLY THE FREQ WHICH I CALLED AFTER LEAVING THE FLL TWR FREQ WAS NOT A MIA APCH FREQ. ANOTHER SOURCE OF CONFUSION WAS MY 'CLRNC' TO TAMIAMI BY FLL CLRNC DELIVERY; WHICH WAS APPARENTLY NOT A CLRNC TO TAMIAMI ARPT; BUT SIMPLY A CLRNC OUT OF THE FLL ARSA. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: PLT HINDSIGHT IS VERY EFFECTIVE. REALIZES ORIGINAL CLRNC DID NOT HAVE CODE TO SQUAWK; AN OBVIOUS OMISSION; NOR ALT. IN FACT; HE REALLY DID NOT HAVE A CLRNC AT ALL. MIA APCH INDICATED THEY WOULD FORWARD INFO TO FSDO. TO DATE; PLT HAS NOT HEARD FROM FAA.
