SMA PLT INBOUND TO MIL ARPT FAILED TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS AND FLEW THROUGH ADJACENT ARPT TRAFFIC PATTERN.
USING A MIL FLYING CLUB ACFT; I WAS FLYING FROM NUQ TO NGZ. AFTER LEAVING THE NUQ ATA AT 2000'; I CONTACTED BAY APCH FOR RADAR SVCS THROUGH OAK ARSA TO NGZ. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO PASS ABEAM HWD AT 2000' AND ABEAM THE APCH END OF OAK RWY 29 AT 1200'. IN A LATER COM FROM BAY APCH; I WAS TOLD TO EXPECT A STRAIGHT IN APCH TO NGZ RWY 31 FOLLOWED BY CIRCLING TO RWY 25. AFTER PASSING HWD I BEGAN MY DSCNT. BEFORE REACHING A POINT ABEAM THE APCH END OF RWY 29; I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT NGZ TWR. I SWITCHED FREQS AND MADE MY CALL. THERE WAS TOTAL SILENCE. WHILE DIALING IN 127.05 ON THE SECOND RADIO; MY DSCNT CONTINUED TO APPROX 900'. ON THE SECOND RADIO I HEARD BROKEN WORDS OCCASIONALLY; SUCH AS A PORTION OF A CALL SIGN (WHICH MIGHT HAVE BEEN MINE BUT WAS TRANSPOSED) AND 'CROSS OVER OAKLAND.' I TURNED RIGHT OVER RWY 29 AND; NOTING MY LOSS OF ALT; APPLIED ADDITIONAL PWR AND BACK PRESSURE. THERE WERE SOME CONFUSING INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHETHER I WAS TO LAND ON RWY 25 OR 31. I WAS TOLD TO FOLLOW AN FGT ON LEFT DOWNWIND TO RWY 25. I MADE A LEFT BASE ENTRY FOLLOWING THE FGT. WHILE ON BASE I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CALL THE OPS DUTY OFFICER FOLLOWING LNDG. I SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTN TO THE ALT DURING ALL PHASES OF FLT. NGZ TWR COULD HAVE WAITED TILL I WAS ON THE GND BEFORE REQUESTING ME TO PHONE THE OPS DUTY OFFICER. BAY APCH MAY HAVE ERRED IN RELEASING ME TO NGZ TWR SO SOON IF THERE WAS ANY TFC IN THE OAK ATA AND IF THERE IS A KNOWN RADIO RECEPTION PROB AREA S OF OAK.
