A Commuter Carrier crew at DEN took evasive action to prevent a collision with Major Air Carrier while taxiing to their gate after landing.
After returning from a round trip I taxied off Runway 17L at DEN onto Taxiway F heading south. At the roughly the same time; a jet was landing on the parallel runway; 17R; and taxied east on Taxiway WB. I handed the flight controls over to the Captain and he taxied the aircraft south on Taxiway F. As we approached the intersection of Taxiway F and Taxiway WB; the Captain and I noticed the jet was not slowing down. The Captain quickly applied the brakes to let the jet taxi by. The pilots in the jet did not look to their left or right before they crossed Taxiway F. After the jet crossed Taxiway F; the Captain called DEN Ground Control and questioned the jet crossing Taxiway F. The Ground Controller replied with a 'sorry.' We then continued taxiing south on Taxiway F to Taxiway AN; and then into the ramp to our gate. The pilots of the jet could have taxied slower and looked both ways before crossing an intersecting taxiway. If both the Captain and I were not alert; we would have impacted the jet. Also; DEN Ground Control should have communicated to which aircraft should have stopped or which one had the right away. It seemed that DEN Ground Control was unaware that both our aircraft and the jet were on a collision course.
