LGT ON SID HAS NMAC WITH SMA.
WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF AT XA15Z ON RWY 26R TO EXECUTE THE PRADO 1 DEP WITH AN INITIAL ALT CLRNC OF 3000'. THE PRADO 1 REQUIRES A LEFT TURN DIRECT TO THE PARADISE VOR (PDZ); THEN OUT THE PDZ 130 DEG R/14 DME TO TRANSITION E TOWARD THE THERMAL VOR (SEE ATTACHED PHOTOCOPY). SHORTLY AFTER TKOF DEP CTLR CLRED US TO 14000' TO EXPEDITE THROUGH 7000'. WE WERE ON A HDG OF ABOUT 120 DEGS TOWARD THE PDZ VOR PASSING ABOUT 5500' WHEN WE WERE TOLD TO MAKE AN IMMEDIATE RIGHT TURN TO 180 DEGS FOR TFC 10-11 O'CLOCK AT 7200'. I WAS FLYING THE ACFT AND BECAUSE OF THE URGENCY IN THE CTLR'S VOICE I ROLLED INTO AN IMMEDIATE 30 DEG BANK TURN. BECAUSE THE CTLR SAID THE ALT WAS 7200'; I DECIDED TO STAY BELOW HIM; REDUCED PWR AND DECREASED TO RATE OF CLB. AS I CLRED OUT MY WINDOW IN THE RIGHT TURN; TFC APPEARED AT ABOUT OUR 1-2 O'CLOCK POS ABOUT A 1/2 MI AWAY AND SLIGHTLY ABOVE US. THE TFC WAS HDG DIRECTLY TOWARDS US. I STOPPED THE TURN AT 150 DEGS AND LEVELED THE ACFT AT 6200'. (AT ABOUT THE TIME WE LEVELED OFF THE CTLR TOLD US TO STOP OUR CLB 'IMMEDIATELY.') THE SMA PASSED DIRECTLY OVERHEAD WITH VERT SEP OF APPROX 300'. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 98237: I MEAN BY THAT STATEMENT THAT OUR CREW WAS MORE ALERT THAT USUAL BECAUSE OF THE TONE OF THE CTLRS VOICE; AND THE FEELING WE HAD THAT HE WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED. I WOULD GUESS THAT WE WERE BEING CTLED BY A TRNEE.
