TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: Require operators of airplanes equipped with General Electric (GE) CF6-80C2 and CF6-80E1 engine models to comply with GE Service Bulletin (SB) 73-0371 and GE SB 73-099, “Engine Fuel Control—Fuel System (73-00-00)— Introduction of New Fuel Manifold System,” to prevent undercowl fires on these engines due to fuel manifold leaks caused by fractured or worn feeder lines.
