NTSB Safety Recommendation — Aviation
Recommendation text
TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: Develop and implement a process that will, in a timely manner, notify involved parties after events such as near midair collisions or traffic alert and collision avoidance system resolution advisory activations, such that notification occurs while relevant data remain available and before meaningful safety analysis, reporting, or corrective action is no longer practicable.
In plain language (FlightFinder summary)
The Federal Aviation Administration is asked to create and put in place a process that will promptly notify involved parties after events such as near midair collisions or traffic alert and collision avoidance system resolution advisory activations. The notification should happen while relevant data are still available and before it is no longer practical to conduct meaningful safety analysis, reporting, or corrective action.
This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
