THE BOARD RECOMMENDED THAT OWNERS AND MANUFACTURERS OF STITS PLAYBOY MODEL SA-3 AIRPLANE BE APPRAISED OF FAILURE OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER AND THE NEED FOR MODIFICATION. FURTHER LETTER TO THE FAA REQUESTING POSITIVE ASSURANCE OF RECEIPT OF THE HAZARD NOTIFICATION AND MODIFICATION BY ALL STITS OWNERS, AND THAT THE MODIFICATION IS INCORPORATED WHEN APPLICATION IS MADE FOR AN EXPERIMENTAL AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE.
