In plain language (FlightFinder summary)

The FAA is asked to issue an Airworthiness Directive (AD) that makes mandatory an inspection and, if necessary, replacement of incorrect connectors on Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) Model 573A, as specified in Sundstrand Data Control Service Bulletin No. 23, dated August 2, 1982. The AD should require the inspection as soon as practical based on availability of spare units and replacement capability, with replacement of defective connectors at the earliest possible date.

This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
