BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF SAFETY STUDY: "STATISTICAL REVIEW OF ALCOHOL INVOLVED AVIATION ACCIDENTS, 1975-1981," (SS-84-3), THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A PLAN FOR IMPROVED SURVEILLANCE AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE REQUIREMENT FOR POSSESSION OF A VALID MEDICAL CERTIFICATE FOR THE EXERCISE OF AIRMAN PRIVILEGES.
