Recommendation text
THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: REQUIRE THAT THE INSTRUMENT APPROACH CHART FOR THE LOCALIZER APPROACH TO RUNWAY 11 AT SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY AIRPORT AND THE CREPE ONE DEPARTURE CHART INCLUDE A CAUTIONARY NOTE WITH APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION FREQUENCIES ADVISING VFR FLIGHTS ON PRACTICE INSTRUMENT APPROACHES AND DEPARTURES TO CONTACT LOS ANGELES CENTER FOR TRAFFIC ADVISORIES.
In plain language (FlightFinder summary)
The NTSB asks the FAA to add a cautionary note to the localizer approach chart for Runway 11 and the Crepe One departure chart at San Luis Obispo County Airport. The note should include appropriate communication frequencies and advise VFR flights on practice instrument approaches and departures to contact Los Angeles Center for traffic advisories.
This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
